This is a great place to walk in, snap a pic, and then walk right out. We went in and were greeted by a millennial that punctuated his speech with "boon" or "boom" as if to signify approval of our menu selections? There was a sign saying "no guns", which didn't prevent a large group off their sand buggies from being served large amounts of shots while packing their loaded guns on their sides. At first it felt picturesque. But then we replayed in our head the greeting from the millennial who worked hard at being cool: "Sit anywhere you like--anywhere you feel comfortable...". He then took our orders. After waiting fifteen minutes hungry and thirsty, we walked out. Perhaps the "anywhere you feel comfortable" was not sarcastic. However, we weren't uncomfortable, just annoyed that people get away with this kind of unprofessional behavior. Besides, they served drinks in single-use plastic cups. Please walk in and snap your pic, but avoid this place. It isn't worth its renown, not with this kind of service--or lack thereof.

Staff was friendly and the Mexican food was great. As in homemade salsa and chips great. Both the male and female staff were kind and we were stinky hikers coming hot off the AZT aka tourists. Also, the meals were ~$5 cheaper per person than other options in the area.. so it was decently priced as well. The female had to head put for local music and came over to say it was nice to serve us and to let us know she was leaving and for us to have a good day. The male bartender finished out our interaction and as friendly as could be. They did warn us there were others ahead of us that ordered food, but we didn't even make it trough the guacamole before the food arrived. We went around 3pm on a Sunday for reference.

We were in Patagonia to visit the Paton Center for Hummingbirds and after spending some time there checking out the center, we stoped in at the Wagon Wheel for a couple of cold beers and a snack. The bartender was great and got us some beers lickety split and after having a beer we ordered a snack and it took a bit to get the food, but that meant that we could have another cold beer! So, don't be in a hurry to eat and you'll be just fine. Chill out and relax and enjoy the Wagon Wheel like we did!!! :)

Ok, the service was so bad that I literally couldn't wait for Google to prompt me to write this scathing review. Now, we walked into the restaurant/bar and there are a few people at the bar. If I remember correctly of the 10 or so tables in there, 5 of them were occupied. We asked if we could sit outside and the bartender/server told us that the party of 20 was just leaving and the table was messy and that wouldn't be possible. So we packed our party of 6 at a grossly inadequate booth. The bartender/server takes our drink order and then 15 minutes later brings us our drinks in clear solo cups. It's the middle of summer in Arizona, dude! He then tells us it's going to be at least an hour before we get our food. At this point I am getting the hint that he doesn't want our business and is literally trying to talk us out of ordering food without actually saying it, but since this is the only place open in Patagonia, AZ we are staying for dinner. We place our order. Well, he wasn't far off the 1 hour estimate. I am trying to imagine the kitchen at this point. I mean it isn't busy and yet they can't seem to move food out of the kitchen so I deduce that they must be cooking this food on a Coleman stove. Finally our food comes out. Well, I mean 1 cheese crisp (shared between 3 kids) comes out. Then 8 minutes later the red chili burrito comes out. Then 15 minutes later they managed to bring out the last 2 hamburgers at the same time, which I heralded as a miracle. By this time, our drinks were empty, obviously. I have to get up and flag down this dude because at this point and can't legitimately call him a bartender or a server and tell him we need some soda refills. He walks out with a large Styrofoam cup full of coke and just sets it on the table. There isn't even any ice and after an hour of waiting in Arizona is basically a recipe for warm Coke. To summarize: The dude responsible for serving us hands down was the worst I have ever experienced. The food was actually good. All said and done. Not only will I never return to this disaster of a bar/restaurant, I will actively tell people not...

Do NOT come to this place! My husband and I live in the area and have supported this business by coming here. We've brought friends and family. After our last experience we will not be coming here or bringing friends and family anymore. Wagon Wheel has lost our business!

The sign says open breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a sign that says open everyday at 6:30am. I went to open the door and it was locked. I called and the man who answered was rude. He says there's a sign that says we're closed and won't open until noon (fifteen mins). Right by the door on right side the sign said open not closed. I thought no worries. I won't let this mans attitude stop us from bringing our son. So we went to Ovens to get a shake while waiting for Wagon Wheel to open.

We come back to Wagon Wheel fifteen mins later and my son still had his shake. As soon as we walk in the man at bar didn't greet us. First thing he says is "no outside drinks" with an attitude. I completely understand no outside drinks but I made the comment that we only have the shake because we were waiting for Wagon to open and we are supporting the town. He says "well you're not supporting us!" First off yes we are supporting Wagon Wheel. We have for years! And secondly we were getting ready to buy a meal for three adults plus drinks which was giving even more support! This man was very rude! He was rude on the phone when I called about the hours and he was rude in person! My son left to take his shake out and during the time the man came over with crumpled, dirty paper menus and napkins he slapped down on the table. He didn't say one word nor get drink orders. He put me us and napkins down and walked away.

We waitid and then decided we didn't want to be here. So back to Ovens of Patagonia to eat. Where the staff are super friendly and from here on out will get our business!

Wagon Wheel Saloon has unprofessional staff/owners and no customer skills at all!
