Absolutely Blown Away! A New Webster Favorite! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow! Just wow. We decided to try Capitano's for the first time last night, and I can confidently say it's one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like regulars. The service was absolutely top-notch—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without ever being intrusive.
We started our evening with some cocktails, which were creative and perfectly mixed. A great sign of things to come! For an appetizer, we went with the calamari, and it was cooked to perfection—lightly crispy and not at all chewy, with a delicious dipping sauce.
Next up were the wedge salads. It's a classic, but they do it right here. The lettuce was crisp, the dressing was flavorful, and the toppings were generous.
For our main courses, our table got a variety of dishes, and every single one was a home run.
Spicy Rigatoni: Had a fantastic kick to it! The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce was rich and clung to every piece.
Hot Honey & Pepperoni Pizza: The perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The crust was amazing—chewy with a great char. A must-try for pizza lovers.
7-Layer Lasagna: This was a masterpiece. You could taste the care that went into every single layer. It was rich, cheesy, and incredibly satisfying.
Philly Steak Soup: I was intrigued by this and it did not disappoint! It had all the flavors of a classic Philly cheesesteak in a hearty, delicious soup. So unique and so good.
Every single bite of food was delicious. The quality of the ingredients and the skill in the kitchen are obvious. We are already planning our next visit. Capitano's has earned some new loyal fans. We will...
Read moreDuring our dinner tonight, our experience fell well below expectations in both food quality and service, leaving us disappointed and unlikely to return.
To begin with, the seafood—which we had hoped would be the highlight of our meal—was subpar. The oysters we were served had an off-putting, fishy odor and taste, raising serious concerns about their freshness. When we brought this to our server's attention, there was no accommodation to the issue. We also had lamb which was chewy and all the entrees were bad- lobster roll was dry and chewy, clams were inedible and way too fishy, and the ribeye was chewy.
Service throughout the evening was inconsistent and ultimately disjointed. Our server neglected to bring the soups and salads that were part of our order. Following dessert, the server completely disengaged from our table. We were not asked whether we wanted anything further; instead, the check was dropped off without warning or follow-up, effectively ending the meal without a proper conclusion.
It was especially troubling that after serving dessert our server disappeared altogether, leaving us with unanswered questions and unresolved concerns. The overall sense was that the service staff had either given up or become indifferent, which significantly detracted from the dining experience.
While every restaurant can have an off night, the combination of questionable food quality and unprofessional service created a regrettable evening. We hope that management takes this feedback seriously and implements improvements in both food handling and...
Read moreVibes were good, experience wasn’t Greatso I feel we didn’t get to enjoy ourselves like we should. I worked at Murphy’s law when they were at this location and they’ve done a great job with the building ! We had a 630 reservation on a Saturday - was told to wait at the bar 45 minutes went by and there were quite a few free tables so we asked if our table was ready and she quickly brought us over ( I think we were forgotten about.) After we realized the table around us got their food after sitting after us we were wondering what the long wait was… turns out our food ticket was lost which our server was so apologetic and comped our appetizer and a round of drinks. We had a 4 top and the table was small and no bussers were coming around removing finished salads, glasses and appetizer plates so the table was crowded. After watching the table next to us we all used an empty table for our dirty dishes so we could have room. After being there for 3 hours the appetite was gone from an appetizer, salad & some bread so not sure if that’s why we didn’t get to enjoy our food we just were kind of over it and had somewhere to be. Lobster risotto felt like just clumps of lobster with rice & a sauce rather than being creamy- wedge salad was great as well as the calamari appetizer. Something weird we found as well that an amaretto sour was $6.50 at the bar and $10 at our table. Also for some reason the bathroom stalls were all locked from the inside so I had to crawl under to use the restroom? I hope they work out their kinks and I would love to give them...
