China Wok — Restaurant in Town of Phelps

Original Review:

This was my first time here, but I'll certainly be back. Expectations of a random American-Chinese place aren't neccessarily high, but walking in I was greeted friendly. Have an interesting dish called tai chin chicken that I got, kind of like sweet and sour sauce with some kick from szechuan peppers.

They take Mastercard, Visa, and Discover at least. Not sure on Amex.

The food portion was ridiculous for a chef's special. The container was bursting at the seam, and tons of sauce. The sauce is what makes American-Chinese so it was very welcome. Was cooked up quickly and prices are great.

I will be back! What I got was pretty spicy, which is great. Have like two meals in leftovers still.

I have now gotten food about 3 or 4 times here. Each time, the family there has been very friendly, the food has been great, when it's marked spicey it's actually spicey... Like the prior review, good amount of sauce, and some unique items on their menu. (just got double sauteed pork, never have seen it on the menu at the other chinese places) Overall will...

We ordered the first time today and our experience was horrible! Several things were wrong so I called back, just to get argued with... First she had to ask about the mistake to the cook, and then lied saying she saw the missing chicken in there. Thanks to Google translate, I realized they didn't care. Along with some less than friendly comments made back and forth in their language. If I wanted the wrong food, I could have gotten McDonald's. I would put zero stars if they allowed it. I usually go to the Chinese place in Clifton springs as it's closer to me but I have to say I'm so impressed with my first expierience at China Wok. We were greeted with a hi and a smile as soon as we came through the door and when we left we were told goodbye and have a nice day by both ladies. Service with a smile makes a big difference to me and I definitely think I'll be going here...
