Waterside Wine Bar — Restaurant in Town of Phelps

We had a wonderful time here, and the view of the little falls was a nice change of atmosphere. The band was funny (in a good way) and entertaining. Not at all overbearing as some can be. We had the special appetizer, calamari. While not authentic - the breading was still very tasty! The Nicjac Burger and Paulie Plate were VERY good. I loved the mac and cheese, as it was the type (a little on the drier side) that I can't get enough of. I LOVE when its like that. The waitress was super sweet, I cannot say enough about her. She made us feel comfortable and was very willing to answer any question we had. When we were done, had a chat with the owner, and he was just beyond nice as well. Let's all make sure that this man and his waitresses get supported during these challenging times! I really don't think the community realizes all he does behind the scenes for the local area. Hiring those who might not be hired elsewhere, and donating his hard earned money to charity. THIS is why we should give back! Thanks for a great meal and atmosphere! Very disappointing. When you call, nobody answers. Instead you receive a text message asking if you want reservations or to place an order. Not a very personable way to converse with someone that is attempting to spend money at your establishment and not everyone has a cell phone. People do still have home phone lines. As for the food - 4 people within our party of 8 ordered the mac and cheese with our meals that was served ice cold. The brisket was served cold and like leather. Chicken parm sandwich was a cold, undercooked chicken patty thing. When water was asked for to go with the meals, bottled water was served that we were charged for. As for the service. 1 person within our party requested an additional chair and was given attitude for the request even though there was stacks of empty chairs next to our table. Not the only time while we were there that we were made to feel as though we were an inconvenience instead of patrons. The staff here is both rude and degrading. After being told we could sit at an outdoor table for the 5 of us, a very rude waitress came over and told us we could not sit there as someone paid to sit at that table however there was zero reserved sign or any other indication it wasn't available. Without warning she then started to yell at us continuously to "Get up, or get out". After discussing our situation with a few locals, this is how this establishment has been known to treat visitors who are not regulars. I've never felt so talked down to ever in my life, and will never be providing another cent to this restaurant.

Update due to response from owner: Your daughter never once mentioned that the reserved sign ever even existed and we were told we could sit there by one of your staff members after waiting for 25 minutes indoors for a table.
