Glizzy's Grill — Restaurant in Town of Plattsburgh

We got the trash plate, stoner trash plate , poutine and a michigan. We had very high hopes but the michigan sauce tasted like sloppy joe from the can and poutine was sub par! Undercooked frozen fries covered in gravy & shredded mozzarella cheese. We live so close to the capital of poutine and yet I don't understand why some places use shredded mozzarella cheese.. It is supposed to be made with cheese curds but alas the fries were still bad so even if it was made correctly... it was very disappointing. For the price, you can definitely afford to use real cheese curds. We will try again though because we have heard such great things so we are hoping it was just a bad day. Came to this area from Florida and could not have landed on a better place for dinner. The owners were more than accommodating and super excited about their restaurant and the fantastic menu items they offer. We were not familiar with these unique menu items, however they were more than helpful with suggestions to try. We were even treated with surprise fried Oreo cookies for dessert. Although this was supposed to be a meal for one, my bride could not stop sampling and we both ended up satisfied with the quantity of delicious food provided. I should have know by the menu…. “Trash plates”that this was not a place I’d appreciate. Forget the food which was terrible and the service which was terrible. The prices are insane! I had a chopped cheese sub, fries and a 16oz bottle of soda. I was charged $28 bucks without a tip. That’s insane! If you’re willing to pay that money for bad food then this is your place! I was shocked by the price for the quality of food and poor service. Even if the food was amazing I wouldn’t go back. Can you guess that I won't be returning.
