TL;DR review: Go here ASAP and then keep coming back. You won't find better Thai food for MANY miles around.

Talk about a hidden gem! After just my first meal there, I can already say with confidence that this is the BEST Thai food you'll find in Poughkeepsie. The other restaurants in the area that offer Thai food are a little too "Americanized" in my humble opinion, but Thailicious serves up a refreshing array of authentic flavors. Portion sizes are perfect - just enough to get nice and full without feeling overstuffed or wasting food - and presentation is very enticing.

For starters, my wife and I enjoyed the Thai dumplings and papaya salad. The dumplings come with a delicious, thick, dark soy sauce and some crispy fried bits of onion/garlic on top. The papaya salad was absolutely amazing as well. Unlike a few other spots, this one had just the right amount of fish sauce to add excellent flavor without absolutely assaulting your mouth with funkiness. All the flavors were delicately balanced and the veggies were beautifully crunchy.

For entrees, we had the Sen Lek Tom Yum soup and the Pla Lard Prik (snapper in chili sauce). The Pla Lard Prik came with a yummy array of stir-fried veggies and side of rice. The sauce is both sweet and spicy, but not the kind of sweet that might be off-putting. Again, the balance of flavors is expertly done. The Sen Lek Tom Yum is almost like a Thai version of Vietnamese pho in that it's a brothy soup with vermicelli-style noodles. The broth is nice and clear while still being full of deeply satisfying flavors. I can see this dish becoming a regular order for me!

Perhaps the most unexpected surprise of the night was the Thai coconut custard we had for dessert. It comes in little ramekins and consists of a sweet, nutty base and a slightly salty, creamy top. From what I can tell, it's most likely steamed and has a slightly glutinous texture that I absolutely love. Some might be a little hesitant about that texture, but I beg you to be brave and try it because it's like nothing you've ever tasted and you'll fall in love with it. I literally wanted to just line up 10 of those ramekins like tequila shots and tell the chef to just keep 'em coming! This dessert is going to haunt my thoughts in the best way, and I'm literally already making plans in my mind to come back and have a LOT more of it.

Seriously, you will not find better Thai food in Poughkeepsie and probably not in all of Dutchess County. If you enjoy real-deal Asian flavors, you should go here - and you should go here often. I sure...

I live close by, we have ordered the food a dozen times because it’s close and some things are great, and some things definitely not great. The worst is customer service!!!! You order by phone and show up when they say it will be done and you wait and wait, and then you finally say something and then they start cooking it. Not good! You order on their own website and what was supposed to be 45 mins turns into 2.5hrs and it says delivered but it wasn’t. You call and the owners yell at each other and blame the delivery service that they use. Look people, it’s the same song and dance, you chose the delivery services, that’s not my problem, it’s yours and you should compensate after a dozen times of frustrations and beyond patience. Like I said, some dishes, when we finally got them and after a huge issue with calling, were great but the other two dishes were pathetic! They should have been brimming over the top instead of only half full dishes for $18.98 each. The order was originally $75’ish and with delivery it came to the ver $100 for 2.5 hrs later, repeated terrible customer services and not fair compensation and very high prices. I’m telling you, walk in get the Oad Thai and nothing else and save yourself a lot of hassle and dashed hopes. Not matter the patience we exerted, they refuse to get better or offer decent customer service. And the the deliver fees for 3.5 mins...

What a disappointing experience. The wait staff was unfriendly and not welcoming at all. The glass of wine I ordered was deep yellow and tasted like it was left open weeks ago. When I read the menu I was greatly disappointed to see so many ground, pork and ground chicken dishes. I lived in Thailand for over a year and never saw a dish that had ground meat in it. Once I ordered I waited 40 minutes for a disappointing meal. The server or whoever they were never came back to ask how my meal was or anything else. The place was empty 2 tables, but they were backed up like they were packed. I witnessed 2 unhappy customers coming for takeout, 1 order was lost and the other customer said they ordered over an hour ago and were told they needed another 15 minutes. Since the server never came back to check on me, I went to the counter and waited 10 minutes to ask for my check. The worst dining experience I can recall in many years. I will never go back, be prepared for an awful dining experience. I left a tip that equaled my...

We came for dinner. It wasn't very busy but service was abit slow, but ok attitude. Ordered 2 appetizers (chicken satay and curry puffs) and 2 entrées (chicken pad Thai and drunkn noodles). There were several items marked gluten free. Appetizers and pad thai were great. The drunkn noodles were okay, the noodles were abit over cooked so abit mushy and broken, the first few bites were just a bit to fish sauce-y, after that it was good. The physical space is nice and clean.

Was visiting the Poughkeepsie area and the detour did not disappoint! The food was amazing. I'm from NYC where we have a lot of Thai food and this restaurant was definitely on the fresher side. I even got to meet the chef Som, she took care of so well. We tried two plates. The fried rice with chicken (vegetables were very fresh) and lab Gai (different but delicious). We also loved the Thai iced tea.

The menu price and the real are different. Cheating. The real price is about $3 to $5 higher than the paper menu listed price per main dish. No previous information given when ordering for the price difference. The waitress saying the machine auto write the amount and the menu will soon be updated later. Feel cheated by the experience. Food is ok but really bad experience.
