Let me start off by saying I chose this place based on the star rating on Google maps (I didn't check Yelp). Do not let the high rating fool you, we came and were immediately told that there was going to be a 30 min wait to be seated and it was going to take around an hour for food cause the kitchen was backed up. This was when we SHOULD HAVE just said okay and found a new place.
We were sat in less than 20 mins, so naturally we thought everything was ahead of schedule, but that was the furthest thing from the truth. Appetizers were ordered when the server finally came to the table 15 mins after being sat, and came out in about 15 mins. Apps were both really good!
This was when the sorry excuse for "service" began. 2 pizzas were ordered and the table conversation began because we figured it would be an hour before we saw them.
As tables were sat, served, bussed, and re sat around us we the questioning began, "Where is the pizza?". 90 mins had passed at this point.
Next came, "If they're not out here in 15 mins, we minds well just leave." This was when the first pizza made it's appearance. A simple 3 topping, no frills, no customization, nothing that would take 90 mins to do.
"Your other pizza just needs a few minutes to get crispy"... Excuse me?... More time for the other pizza?... Okay, it was a specialty.
By the time we saw the server again, the first pizza was gone, and we're an hour and 45 into this debacle.
"Your pizza is going to take another 8 mins"... So what your telling me it was never made, it needs "a few minutes" to prep and "8 more minutes" to cook.. And off she went, to be seen 10 mins later after we had stopped another waitress to tell her to box it up for the road.
After 2 "no tips" following the "service" our table was aggressively bussed hoping to find a cash tip... Wishful thinking!
This is the first place I have not left a tip at. Food was great. "Service" was astonishingly bad. Unless your thing is spending hours inside a pizza restaurant watching other people be served, I'd recommend the gas station across the street. Pizza may not be as good, but the service would be head and...
Read moreSo this review and rating would have been higher if not for the terrible handling of a situation by the restaurant manager. Our primary waitress, Cali, was very good, attentive and personable. The mozzarella stick appetizer was good with both marinara and melba sauce. My chicken parm with ziti was a decent portion but the sauce was too sweet for my taste. Not terrible though. So far no real issues. Then dessert happened. My rice pudding was fine but another waitress made a poor decision to pass my son's strawberry cheesecake with lots of strawberry juice all over it across his wife while spilling said strawberry juice on her and her white fabric pocketbook....staining it. Our waitress got some club soda and then soap and water to help try to clean it. So up to that point, accidents happen and the waitress apologized profusely. The manager however, did not come over at any point the entire evening.....something that is fairly basic to customer service normally let alone when an incident occurs. When the bill came, there was no attempt at trying to make it right with a discount or even taking the dessert they spilled on my daughter-in-law off the tab. We were shocked at such a callous response by the restaurant. So my son asked if the dessert could be taken off. The waitress checked and came back saying that the manager said there was nothing they could do. Wow! So my son and daughter-in-law asked to see the manager and were first told the manager wasn't available, and then a guy that initially said he was a waiter then claimed he was the manager and gave very rude responses to the situation. If I was the owner of this place, that asshat would be unemployed by tomorrow! Solely because of the poor handling and rude treatment by the management, not only will we never return, but will recommend to everyone we know to not patronize this restaurant...
Read moreThe Harvest Restaurant has always been the place to go to share a Great meal with your Family or friends. I have always had nothing but praise each and every time I have attended the Harvest. Last weak, I ordered a Pizza. I wanted the bottom browned which I told the waitress, The waitress brought me a pizza that was black on the bottom "BURNT" I didn't say anything because I figured it was my fault for saying I wanted the bottom browned.I won't do that again. I was so disappointed today . We each ordered a hamburger which are normally world famous with a charcoal broil flavor. It took about 45 minutes before being delivered to our table which I thought was odd . I mean, It's only a hamburger right? The waitress was great as always, I can't praise her enough. I did ask her if there was a new cook and she said no and that she didn't understand why it took so long and apologized for the long wait. As I picked up my bun to eat it, The Bun felt like it was still partially frozen, - It was "Ice Cold!" We both ordered the hamburgers cooked Medium. My burger was Great but my friends burger was VERY RARE to the point, I would have sent it back to be cooked. My friend didn't want to make a scene so he ate the outside of the burger that was cooked and left the raw meat on the plate. I have to do some serious thinking wither or not I will come back to this restaurant and I can foresee this business loosing all it's customers. How sad such a wonderful Restaurant can go down hill so fast. I might try this restaurant one more time but 3 strikes...
