We went here today and while the vibe and the ambiance were good and the food decent, we did have a rather disappointing and frightening experience that I’d like to highlight so that the owners can improve moving forward. I hope they read this and make the necessary amendments to their menu.

My mom ordered the seafood soup, “Cazuela de Mariscos” and the menu described it as being “Traditional Colombian Seafood soup with calamari, tilapia, shrimp, white shells and mussels,” priced at $24.91 (highlighting the price so if they’re reading this, they know exactly what I’m taking about).

This seafood soup had an odd flavor and smelled like peanuts. When I asked the waitress what was in it, she said Crema de maní which is peanut butter. As peanut butter is a serious allergen, we found it odd that it was not highlighted on the menu description.

My daughter, who was sitting right next to my mom, who was consuming this soup, has a severe allergy to peanut butter, which she requires an epi pen for. She seemed fine at first but later broke out in hives (could've been a delayed reaction) - thank God she only needed Benadryl.

This is something serious that can put a business out of business with law suits etc. these things MUST BE indicated on the menu, for the safety of the patrons frequenting the restaurant.

Please take this seriously and correct your menu ASAP.

Otherwise, a relatively...

I like the food, well at least the few things I have tried from the menu. The pastries and empanadas are pretty good. However the service and staff are ok. They are pretty stingy about the sauces. Every time I ask for extra sauce they get stiff and hesitant, maybe there’s a policy that each customer can only get two little sauce containers? I said I was willing to pay extra for some more sauce, but they still seemed bothered. They are not well organized. They said they had something on the menu and I paid for it, but then told me they were out of the item I paid for soon after. Then when I asked for a refund of just $7 they were having an issue refunding my credit card, so obviously I just took cash back instead (which is fine). Then another time, when I asked for four pandebonos and paid for all four, I checked the bag before leaving the place and saw she only gave me three. I told her I asked for four, to which she said she did give me four, but then realized her error when she looked in the bag and saw she only gave me three. Good thing I checked to make sure I got what I paid for. Other than those minor mishaps, the food that I’ve tried were decent, at least...

After moving to Rockland County from NYC, I was so afraid I wouldn’t be able to find delicious Colombian food nearby. I am so glad I found this restaurant because it’s definitely one of the best Colombian food I ever had. Amazing service as well. I went the first time for a to go order several months ago and they forgot my empanadas because they were extremely busy. I was pretty bummed out I wasn’t able to try the empanadas, but the food was so delicious it didn’t matter to me. I went back again recently and briefly told the manager that the food was so delicious I had to come back again and really wanted to try the empanadas since they forgot the order last time. The manager immediately provided me with the empanadas free of cost and apologized for forgetting them. Phenomenal food...

Casa Colombia is a little hidden gem in Spring Valley, New York for anyone who wants to experience authentic Colombian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. You don't need a big place to offer excellent Colombian food. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to provide recommendations and answer any questions you may have. The food at Casa Colombia is absolutely delicious. The menu is full of traditional Colombian dishes full of flavor and made with fresh ingredients, I have no doubt about that because of the large amount of flavors on the palate. The empanadas are a must, with a perfectly crispy crust and a flavorful filling that will leave you wanting more. “La bandeja paisa” is another standout dish, featuring a hearty combination of rice, beans, roasted meats, chorizo, and ripe plantains. Each bite is a delicious explosion full of flavors that will transport you straight to the streets of Colombia.

We stumbled upon this gem of a Colombian restaurant during a long drive, and it exceeded our expectations! Despite its unassuming location, the food was incredibly delicious. Our favorites were the hearty hen soup and the mouthwatering steak with sautéed onions. The seafood soup, though a bit salty, was also a flavorful dish. What made our experience even better was the warm and friendly service, especially toward our toddler. A must-visit spot for a authentic Colombian culinary journey! 🍲🥩👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
