Taco TPKE is a spotless, professional restaurant in Sloatsburg just steps from the bus stop. Prices are fair and clearly posted (3-taco combo $15; singles $5.50; shrimp +$3), and I appreciate that prices include tax/card with a small cash discount. The food tastes home-cooked—in a good way: seasoned but not oversalted, and nothing came off as loaded with additives. What I ate: Chicken Tinga was juicy and well-spiced; Birria was rich and satisfying. Camaron adobado had good flavor, though the guac/cheese were heavy—ask for “light toppings” if you want the shrimp to shine. Al pastor was the clear miss: it ate like shredded/boiled pork with ungrilled pineapple, no crispy sear, and none of the caramelized, smoky notes you expect from pastor. It felt off-style and flat—I’d skip it until they rework the recipe. But overall loved this place and will be going again.

I recently tried out the new Mexican quick-service spot in the neighborhood, and it's an incredible addition to our restaurant scene! The food is bursting with authentic flavor—everything we ordered was excellent. We had the al pastor bowl, chips and guacamole, birria burrito, Mexican street corn, and flan. Each dish was well-prepared and generously portioned. The staff was friendly, and the ambiance is quaint and inviting. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portions. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

My husband and I have gone here a few times and the food is always delicious. They ran a contest on instagram recently and I won a free taco dinner for six people! A group of us went tonight and it was phenomenal. The owner and other staff were so welcoming and excited for us to be there. We tried all of the tacos (my favorite was the shrimp) and they even made us a special dessert with Dulce de leche and Nutella. Excellent food that is very authentic. Go check them out!

Everyone should try the food here! The food has amazingly authentic Mexican flavors and is very good. The menu is short and simple, but you really enjoy whatever you get. I have tried the tacos and the burrito bowl with the birria, tinga and shrimp, as well as the Mexian corn - all absolutely delicious! There is some seating inside and outside, but I usually get my good to go. The staff is all super nice and sweet. They even make my tacos without tortillas and use crispy corn as the shell to help with dietary restrictions. I live in Tuxedo where there are not many food establishments, so we tend to have to go to near by towns. The few that are in Tuxedo, I'm really only fond of 1. So it's nice and exciting to finally have a local food establishment that I actually really like and is super close to Tuxedo! Again a must try- you will really...

The food was delicious and authentic, way better than a chain restaurant. The bowl had a touch of lime in it which was very nice, the avocado was very fresh. The building inside is very nice looking, you can look at the kitchen which was very clean. My only complaint is that every time I went to order and pay they never had spare change to give back. On a busy Saturday night not sure why this would be? Please rectify this issue for the future. Still rating 5 stars, but being that you get charged more if you pay by card, they should have ample rolls of spare change available for customers. Other than that it was great. I would for...
