Tacos Picantes — Restaurant in Town of Ramapo

My wife and I went there just for tacos however they do make a lot of regular Mexican/Latin fair. First and foremost, this place is cash only so bring that. Second, the tacos we had were amazing. They usually have 4 tacos for $10 dollars but the day we went it was 5 tacos for $10. I was able to get 2 skirt steak, carnitas, chorizo, pastor tacos and they were all amazing.

In terms of ambiance the place isn't the best looking place around. The bathroom is functional and clean but it had a strong pee smell. This is Spring Valley and the place can seem a bit sketch but come here during the day and it's all good.

Awesome. We didn't sit down to eat, but ordered take out. The plaza and area had a sketch vibe (Spring Valley is really skimping on that street light budget, I guess), but the staff was friendly and the interior was clean albeit a bit dark. There's a greater variety of tacos here than in some of the trendier places in the county, so we ordered a bunch of different tacos and hoped for the best. Literally every bite was a delight. Food has gone downhill. DO NOT ORDER MENUDO. What I got was more like a cowfoot soup w/no tripe, no hominy or standard toppings. This was NOTHING like the soup I used to order from this establishment. Called to express that there must be a mixup & lady was absolutely rude. She refused to listen & I made sure to clearly communicate in Spanish to explain the issue. PS: We were also overcharged menu price.
