2nd time this Saturday. First time, I was stunned how good it was. This time I split the "Half Chicken Special?" (four pieces/2 sides) with my wife and it was a disappointment. The 'special' part is that it ain't a good deal for the customer. The portions were smaller than getting a 2 piece with one side (so we would have did this times 2 and spent another buck or two). Yeah yeah, you can blame me for trying to save a buck. There was so little chicken and this time the taste wasn't there. One more time- There was no chicken on the chicken. And ........... under cooked. The plantains were good and so was the corn salad. Again, smaller portions than all the plates on other tables. The tortillas (2) were steamed, put in a wax paper bag and when I took them out, they fell apart. The first time I have had Corn Tortilla Shrapnel. Come on. Ya can't serve a friggin' tortilla! This was our first time coming here but let me tell you, it was delicious! We had an amazing meal and everything was great. My wife is from Guatemala, so she had high hopes for this place being that it’s originally from Guatemala. When we went to Guatemala, we tried a Pollo Campero over there, and it tastes exactly the same! The chicken is fresh and very tasty. The flavor is great and the chicken is cooked to perfection. Their Horchata and Mango juice are one of a kind. They taste so tropical and very good. The fries are not so greasy and are a perfect side to accompany the chicken. Their empanadas are also delicious and the perfect size. The plantains were nice and sweet and their Mac & cheese was very good. The chicken sandwich was amazing and had plenty of flavor.
