Valley Rock Lodge — Restaurant in Town of Ramapo

First experience, we were seated at bar. Very impressed. Behind the bar were two barkeepers. Gentleman took our drink order, female took our food order. Received drinks sans napkin. Awhile later we received our food. No utensils. Neither server cared to see if we had them. Eventually we asked. Even though they were literally right in front of us. Started eating and never got a check on food, we asked for water. They never asked if we would like another drink, and they both stared at our empty plates and did nothing. We asked for check, still they never moved the dirty plates. I don’t get it. Great food, service was really lacking. Too busy chatting...

Incredible property! The food at the lodge was fantastic. Service was friendly and accommodating, but for the price point, I'd expect them to wait to clear plates until everyone is finished with the courses.
