We walked in to the restaurant and found a seat on the patio. The waitress came up and asked us what we wanted to drink, we asked a few questions and she told us that we had to look at the board? I thought it was strange that there wasn’t a drink list but no big deal. We ordered some appetizers that were good but didn’t receive any silverware or condiments that we asked for. Our food came out I took a bite of a burger which seemed pretty good at first taste as I bit further into it I realized that my burger was completely raw. It seemed OK originally and I ate more than half of it before I realized how bad it was. At that point I stopped eating and flagged down the waitress. I showed her the burger and she agreed it was raw. She told me she was going to talk to the manager, Sam. The waitress returned and said because I had eaten half my burger that the manager was not willing to comp it. The waitress offered a drink chip because she felt bad…. We could tell she did not want to bring the problem to Sam (and now we know why). We said no thank you and asked to speak to the manager as we felt they really didn’t address the problem. Sam came out and dropped a check on the table and said I took one of your beers off your tab. It wasn’t about money… I asked if she looked at the burger I sent back, she replied no. I said the burger was completely raw and it shouldn’t matter what portion of it I ate…. (I certainly wished I noticed earlier) They were going to get someone sick serving food like that. Sam cared not even a little about this which is highly concerning. She had a smirk on her face and said “Next time you should order it Medium Well instead of Medium.” I said it wasn’t medium it was completely raw. Never gave any sort of sincere apology just left and came back with the burger comped from the check. Again, I said you should really be more careful or you’ll get someone sick and she walked away. Do not eat here!!! They will get someone sick and they could care less if they do. I did not care about the bill. I cared about taking ownership for a problem and a potentially big one but instead she blamed me for the eating some of it and...
Read moreAs a preface, we’ve been here a couple times in the past and, although it can be a bit before you get your food, it was an awesome place to eat (and get craft beer).
That being said, we recently decided to go out for a special lunch for my son’s birthday. Upon arriving I was relieved that it was empty inside with just a couple tables seated on the patio and the entire inside empty. We were promptly asked what we wanted for drinks and our drinks were brought/order was taken in a decent amount of time. We ordered a few appetizers and our meals. 20-30 mins later, the indoor seating area started to fill and I commented on how we “came at a good time.” Although we were offered refills about 20 minutes after our arrival, about 30-45 into our wait 3 of us had empty glasses and were not offered a refill. It was about 1.5 hrs before our food finally came. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were packed but they weren’t. All of the appetizers came out with the meals rather than as “appetizers.” The beer cheese (with the pretzel) was cold, the burgers were over-cooked and were also about (not exaggerating) 2 inches smaller in diameter than the buns. In addition, My daughter did not get the sauce that came with her shrimp, we asked for the burger cut in half (since we were sharing) which didn’t happen- prompting us to ask for our own knife. Lastly, the French fries were naturally cut (a big plus) but were over-cooked and nearly burnt. Although we didn’t storm out or leave a bad tip (let’s be honest it’s not the waitress’ fault usually), there were also flies around all our food. Including the green ones (spawning from maggots) which just grossed us out a bit. That’s a tough thing to handle for the owners but it took away from the quality of the meal. I suggest they figure out how to eliminate those.
All in all, their food offerings sound great and we have had good experiences in the past but it seems quality has been declining. They need to work on getting things back to...
Read moreFirst time trying LD's and it will be our last. In town fishing and read really nice reviews, figured we would try it. Atmosphere was decent, liked how the bar was set up. The sign said to "Seat Yourself" which in my opinion, after working in the hospitality industry for 12 years, is a recipe for disaster. Especially this time of year in Pulaski. Many hungry anglers coming in from the water looking for quick, hot, tasty food to fill their bellies. Took approximately 10 minutes before recieving menus, which was fine at first, we were in no rush. Our waitress was very friendly but took a long time to come back to us after putting in our app order after she looked directly at our table and noticed our menus closed. We asked her what they were known for and her response was our "Wings & Burgers". We took her advice and ordered the wings, extra crispy and split a burger for dinner. The wings were horrible. They were soggy and undercooked, we were charged for blue cheese and celery (the celery never came) we figured it wasn't a big deal until the bill came and saw the charge for it. We ordered the burger medium, half of the burger was medium well, the middle was medium and the other half was medium rare to rare. My boyfriend could not eat his half. We should have said something but we did not dor the simple fact it was getting very crowded, we were tired and wanted to get the heck out of there. Asked for our check, and 10 minutes later there we sat. I had to get up and go over to the bar to get our waitresses attention to grab the check. She seemed thoroughly annoyed I had gotten up and was asking her for it. The entire experience was annoying for us, the customer. Very disappointing, spend the extra money get some more help in there this time of year and don't charge $30.00 for two sodas, 10 soggy wings and a half...
