First Rising Sun — Restaurant in Town of Richmond

This place is THE BEST! I feel so lucky to have this place in my sleepy little town. Not only is this town absolutely amazing (along with all of it's people) but this place fits in so well with the vibe you get being here. The family that owns this place is so friendly and kind. I love seeing thier grandson when we go in for dinner, I always say hi to him and sometimes we play cars together. It's bitter sweet when they close down to visit family in China, but they really do deserve a good vacation! The food is always super fresh and absolutely delicious. My husband always asked for his to be painfully spicy and they are happy to oblige. I have yet to have a bad experience/food here, and I think if I did, they would be quick to make things right. My husband and I ate here and we got horrible food poisoning. I ordered the sesame chicken and he order some noodle dish. He ate his and I ate part of mine and within an hour or so I was feeling very sick as the night went I was throwing up with horrific stomach cramps I couldn’t keep anything down. My husband started to eat the chicken that I had left over that same night and I told him I don’t think you should eat it because I think that’s what made me sick. Sure enough he ended up getting violently sick as well. We almost to the point of going to the hospital we weee that sick. I will never step foot in another Chinese restaurant again because of this place and the poor sanitation and lack of education they have when...

On average I eat Rising Sun's food probably about once every week to 10 days. I've been doing this for years. I have found that a restaurant has its own way of preparing food, so what I love you may not. That being said, the food is great and we are super lucky to have it in a town the size of Honeoye. Like any other restaurant I've repeatedly been to, the food is generally consistent from visit to visit, but once in a while it's a bit different. Not bad...just different. I've found that to be true at all the establishments I go to. Basically I love the food here and the owners and staff are...
