There’s no other public place in Medina like the Coffee Pot Cafe. It’s a unique, artistically inspired space with relaxed seating, great coffee and tasty food options. A really good cup of coffee is more than a welcome beverage, it’s part of a ritualistic activity that can unite us. The owners, Hans and Dan, and the friendly staff here clearly understand this. Yes, they do indeed serve high quality coffee at reasonable prices here, but the comfortable, laid-back vibe of the place itself is a big part of the product.
If it’s a Saturday and there aren’t too many “elephants dancing in my head” and it’s still before noon, I’ll sometimes stop in to have a tall water and a toasted Hans Made Everything Bagel with cream cheese. The savory bagels are equal in taste quality to that of a NYC bagel shop. Hans makes all the bagels fresh on Friday afternoons, so Saturday morning is the perfect time to savor one or take a bag of them home. Then it’s reward time: a large carmel macchiato with plain cold foam and an extra shot of espresso. It’s not only flavorful and perfectly brewed, it’s absolutely the best cure. You gotta splurge now and then, plus the coffee aroma in the air here can really put a spring in your step.
On the occasional weekday visit I’ll usually just have a creamy smooth House coffee and a freshly made croissant while I’m checking Twitter in the back room. On the wall in one corner of that room there’s a very large map of the world stuck with red pins showing where customers hail from. For me, I’ve got pins in every continent I’ve visited. South America and Antarctica are still on the bucket list but I haven’t heard too many good things about the coffee in Buenos Aires, and that’s where the boat leaves from...

The Coffee Pot Cafe is a gem that every coffee and food lover needs to experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and a welcoming atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. The staff is incredibly personable and genuinely friendly, making each visit a delightful experience.
The food is simply outstanding. I savored the most delicious bagel I've ever had, followed by a heavenly raspberry cheese stick that left me craving more. The warm chocolate chip muffin was a perfect blend of gooey chocolate and soft, fluffy goodness. Each bite was a testament to the cafe's dedication to quality and flavor.
But what truly sets The Coffee Pot Cafe apart is their coffee. The Sunny Day Latte, with its delightful combination of butterscotch and vanilla, is to die for. It’s the perfect pick-me-up that brings a burst of sunshine to your day, no matter the weather.

Read moreStaff was friendly and the store was cute. My teen's choc chip muffin was excellent. The egg in my hisband's sandwich was green. His green tea was from a pitcher in thr frig and tasted like it. First sips were excellent...then you could see settling in the cup and it was not good. Threw 2/3 of a large cup away. Latte was supposed to be large but was maybe a medium. Guy had forgotten it completely. It was the temperature of lava and not drinkable for almost 30 minutes (same with the temperature of the hot chocolate for my kid). The latte was not good. And my son drank about 1/2 of the hot chocolate . An apple turnover and rapberry cheese stick both had a weird flavor to them (the crust???)and ended up throwing them away too. We would not recommend and would...
