Meetinghouse Deli — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

If I could give this Deli zero stars, I wouldn’t hesitate in a heartbeat. Look at this sorry looking hero bread, lettuce, tomato and did I mention “Tuna” or lack of said Tuna! It’s not like we haven’t been here before, we’re local folks, but unfortunately this tuna hero absolutely sucked. If I wanted a lettuce tomato hero I would have asked for it. I understand the economy is bad, and cutting back seems logical, but, charge more for a decent sandwich, don’t sell crap and expect return customers. With that said, I would suggest buying a $1 dollar can of tuna and make your own sandwich. If you expect to receive good value for your money, you’re not going to find it here at this Deli. We have enjoyed Meetinghouse for years. Today was a disappointment. They were short staffed, and that was a factor for sure. I ordered two sandwiches, and they were made without the ordered tomato, and the lettuce was barely present. Unfortunately, the portion of roast beef and turkey was about 1/3 less than it has been. What was there was very good, but without the side dill slice, it was lacking. Hopefully, the next time will be better. Everyone has a less than great day...

Horrible service called twice right before 12pm to place an order for one breakfast sandwich. It was busy the first time around. 11:50 I tried to call so a woman on the phone said "nope no more breakfast". I said it's before 12pm. She said "not by my clock" ugh totally turned off.
