Parkside Drive-In — Restaurant in Town of Saint Johnsville

We pulled 20 minutes off our route for a quick bite before getting back to the last 4 hours of our 8 hour drive home. This place had great reviews and was the next stop for quite a while that looked decent. First impressions are everything, and let me tell you, this stop did NOT disappoint. The decor is sooooo charming, so chic, so clean. Very, very well done. We own a small coffee/bakery cafe and we have pretty much the same exact decor. So homey. And as if that wasn't enough, we read the Hours of Operation incorrectly and got there with 10 minutes to spare. We were going to leave, hating to be "those people" at the last minute when everything's been wrapped and wiped down. But the lovely girl at the counter insisted it wasn't a problem and so we made quick decisions, took it to go, and admired the space while we waited. It took all of 10 minutes to get our food and it was AMAZING. The Chicken Port Panini, The Burger Salad, and Kid's Hotdog. Holy wow. So good! But wait, there's more. We hurried to finish the amazing dinner so we could get ice cream before that closed, and by far it was some of the best. Lava Cake, Peanut Butter Crunch, and Dairy-free Vanilla with Hot Fudge. We are happy, happy people for the next 4 hours.

We have so many favorites Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich which is a nice crispy chicken sandwich with a quality chicken patty Friday Haddock Fish Fry is exceptional No 7 Burger with the homemade whiskey sauce (please bottle the sauce)! The paninis ! There are so many options and they are all very good!

Did I mention the limited time Brunch ?!?! Yummy! Who doesn’t love breakfast?!?

The homemade ice cream is made with a high quality cream making it a stand out in this market. And then there is the classic soft serve. I have stopped at other places and the hot fudge exceeds what we have received elsewhere. Add to that their signature sundaes. It’s always hard to choose one. Prices reflect the quality of product you receive. This again exceeds what you would get at McDonalds and honestly those prices are comparable.

Do they get busy? Yes! But that speaks to the food they provide. Plan for it as many items will sell out quickly such as their homemade chicken and biscuits. Sit back relax and enjoy the ambiance and good conversation with your loved ones while the staff will bring your meal to you 🙂

We were blown away by our dinner experience!

Every employee we interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful. Like, above and beyond. They explained the ordering process, pointed out specials, gave recommendations, and were overall super friendly.

All of the food we got was delicious. The burger seasoning was great and the fries were super crispy and fresh. All of the toppings were delicious and plentiful.

The ice cream is a STAND OUT though. Homemade ice cream can be hard to find, and not only are they making it here, they're making it well. Fun rotating flavours and the ice cream itself is unreal delicious. We had Dubai chocolate, Italian wedding cookie, baklava, and espresso almond chip. Their base is super creamy and flavorful, and the mix ins were plentiful. Can't explain enough how well they nailed it. We've gone on ice cream tours across New York State and this is in our top 3, easily.
