Stephanie (postmaster) gets way overpaid. I understand in a bigger city where there are several employees. But, there are only two here. One in office as desk clerk and mail carrier. Stephanie spends most of her time gossiping with Elaine who is desk clerk. Smaller areas should not get same rate of pay as big city postmasters. Cutting her pay in half would still be over payment for what little work she does. Carriers could use some of the over pay that she gets. They do ALL the work. Outside in the rain, snow, cold, extreme heat. All the while Elaine and Stephanie sit inside, nice and cozy, gossiping. And if you need help with anything, Stephanie doesn't do anymore than what we ourselves can't do. I called when packages were not moving and all she did was the same as I did.... looked up tracking and told me what it said. So I stopped calling her because I thought she could make a call and find out what was going on. Too much work for her, I guess. Then for years I kept getting stuff stolen from St. Johnsville Post office. I know for a fact that is where it was stolen, no matter what nonsense Elaine's excuses were for what might have happened. So I started requesting count, which Nan was really good about so that we both agreed on how many were dropped off and she would give me a receipt of the count. However Stephanie was covering one day and refused to do the count and/or give a receipt of the packages. So leaves me to wonder if it was their postmaster who is extremely overpaid but apparently thinks it's not enough. Get rid of her. This is a post I should leave for the headquarters. Not sure what good it will do though because Stephanie has no care if you threaten with phone calls or spreading it on social media. She said "Go ahead" to both. One day she'll care. When? is the...
Read moreTwo Saturdays in a row I was expecting packages to be delivered and I get a notice 4 hours after the supposed delivery attempt stating they were unable to deliver for whatever reason...(I was home both days) I get that Saturdays are a substitute driver however; if you do not want to do your job, I'm sure there are more than capable people in line that would have no problem reading an address and delivering the mail correctly and on time. Not once during the week have I ran into this issue....
