The Fish Cove has been around for years but the food and service are just as good as it was on day one. Joe and his staff are helpful, efficient and even amusing at times, as you wait for your order. They love what they do and it shows! My usual fare is a piece of Haddock, fried mushrooms and Mac salad. The fish and mushrooms are lightly battered, fried to perfection and never greasy. The Mac salad is one of my faves with just a touch of sweetness that pairs well with the mayo and carrots. The menu has far more on it and they also do offer baked fish that is tender and flaky but without the added calories from being fried. If you love fish this is the place to go! Just be warned that Friday's, especially during Lent, are super busy. Even so, the staff gets you and your order out quickly. Just a reminder that the restaurant accepts cash only but there is an ATM inside as well as several banks surrounding the area to get cash from.

A great traditional fish fry place especially for those that keep up the tradition of Fish Fry Friday. Always great fresh haddock from the fryer . They also will deep fry clam strips, scallops, calamari, shrimp, smelt, mushrooms, and zucchini. They also have on hand a nice baked haddock for those who are avoiding fried foods. There's also french fries and onion rings done up fresh. And their baked beans have a taste unique to this proprietor. Even on their crowded Fridays, they keep the line moving and you'll be out of there in less time than most fast food places.

Not please. Was not worth the rush to get there.. overpriced and also found bug in my shrimp. Will not be going back, I’m upset I didn’t just fry my own fish and shrimps at home

I went on a Sunday night for fish sandwiches. It was a strange setup where you stay to the left and follow signs if you’re there for sandwiches. There was a cooler for salads, but nothing left but some not so fresh cabbage salad. I placed my order and asked if I could get an order of fries. I was told not in the sandwich line. The fish was fresh and delicious. Seemed a little smaller than the last time, but still tasty and filling . I suggest better ordering, preparation, and anticipation of customers needs when it comes to side orders. Their macaroni salad is so good and I was very disappointed when it was not available. This is a restaurant and being totally out of something on a Sunday because you were busy on a Friday and Saturday is a sign of not enough help ( help wanted signs all over the place) and/ or poor management skills. We will be back, because their fish and macaroni salad...

Stopped in for a quick fish sandwich to try them out. Was a very good sandwich. Nice sized portion of fish and the price was very reasonable. Owner seems like a very nice guy. I will definitely be back in the future when I’m in the area.

UPDATE

This place is a bit of a hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get a decent sized piece of fish, and other times it'll be very skimpy with a ton of breading. Out of the 5 or so times I stopped in,2 times the fish was a decent size, the other three times it was pretty much all breading. Might have to pass on this one because of the inconsistency. Maybe new and very regular customers get good sized pieces. And those in the middle get the rest? Too bad because the two times I got a decent sized portion it was...
