CJ’s Seafoods — Restaurant in Town of Salina

I called to place an order for my mom and I. We are not at all from the area, but were looking for something to try. The first time I called to place an order, I waited for about ten minutes on hold and was hung up on. The second time, I was placed back on hold for another fifteen-twenty minutes. The girl who took my order did not sound very professional or caring towards me being on hold. (Though you could hear how busy it was in the background. I tried to be understanding towards the situation.) I ordered a pound of haddock and macaroni salad. When my order was read back to me on the phone, she said "one pound of... fish", which made me question if she put in for the haddock or just some random fish. My order was done when I got there which was convenient. Cashing out was quick and the cashier was very pleasant, whether she was the girl who took my order on the phone or not, I'm unsure. My mom and I found a place to park and eat before heading back home. Sure enough, the order of "fish" was not haddock. Neither me nor my mom could figure out what kind of fish it was. It was okay, but I didn't even end up eating very much of it because I was disappointed and kind of grossed out that I had a mystery fish dinner. The macaroni salad was delicious though. I was pretty surprised for a place that seemed so busy. Maybe they were just TOO busy, it was a Friday afternoon, but for a first time customer, coming from two hours away, it's not a great...

BEST FISH DINNER IN TOWN, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!! The staff being as amazing as the seafood!!! The haddock is fresh, flaky, just incredible, absolutely cooked perfectly. Huge portions at great prices make the long lines worth the wait! Get there early, they were out of scallops and clams but did announce that right away. The onion rings are a must!!! I cant say enough about how great the staff was, especially the owner!! He jumps right in and works with everyone to keep the lines running smoothly!! Same with the great guy at the door!! They keep the social distancing while moving the line quickly....do dont let the long lines out the door deter you, it moves along quick!! I bought so much food that they even carried it out to my truck for me, it was SO APPRECIATED and really made my day!!! i will be back next...

My 1st time here, read article online profiling this place . Sounded like a wonderful place. Arrived @ 630pm. Busy spot on Teall Ave and not much parking, so rather risky but parked on side of road, like so many other guests. There were quite a lot of folks waiting for their food order. Lots of employees working too. There were NO side salads left, only fries and deep fried zucchini or mushrooms. It's a take out only so we went to mall to eat in food court. The fish was fabulous, fresh and tasty. Zucchini was awful and fries were okay. Definitely plan on getting here for lunch time so I can try the homemade sides I read...
