Lox of Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Saugerties

I'm never a person to write a review about anything, this I my first review ever written and I have never complained about food when i go out. I have lived in saugerties and have given lox of bagels way too many chances. The only reason I come here is due to living near it and its convenient for me. Everytime I go there something is wrong with what I ordered, on top of the prices always being charged differently. Everytime I order a sandwich that's cooked on the grill it tastes like the chemicals they use to clean the grill which is absolutely disgusting. I ordered an omelet with extra cheese and the omelet is basically inedible because it's so burnt(like always), then the "extra" cheese they put on the omelet was semi melted just on top! NOT in the omelet. That makes no sense what so ever. If you get a good sandwich/any food from there its rare and will not happen often!! I will give them props for the beautiful interior they just redid but maybe spending money on a new cook would have been a better idea. It's sad that I opt to going across the street to Dunkin Donuts to get a sausage egg and cheese bagel which is processed food and is definitely terrible for you but at least it doesnt taste...

Ok so here we have it local favorite breakfast shop. Been around for ever. Now if I'm honest I personally have never been a fan, imo the food from a couple of places in Kingston are better. But when u barely feel like getting out of bed let alone driving to the next town for breakfast eaise gives way to qualify. Not today. While I was there I witness a customer come in and say hey I have a meeting but I need the food before you open. Not only did he say no problem, when asked how much he said he just donated them. So when it was my time to get my food I said I'm sorry for ease dropping but that was awesome what you did! He said man after everything they had already been threw least I can do give them some bagles(to the VFW !!!!) I said well thank you and made sure to shake his hand. Today I got extra quality with my extra bacon 😏😁(I'm sorry for the lengthy review but sometimes you have to give credit...

UPDATE: Days later I have received a refund for the missing sandwich, so I've added a star.

Loved this place for years with no issues, but lately orders are taking much longer to be ready and have many more mistakes.

Today I placed an online order for 5 sandwiches. Arrived about 20-30 minutes after placing the order (estimated ready in 15). Had to sit and wait another 15-20 minutes because the order wasn't ready. Watched several in-person orders get served before my name was finally called. Got home with my order to realize one sandwich was missing. Tried calling multiple times, got no answer, no voicemail. Didn't have time to return in person. Discovered later that two of the other sandwiches were incorrectly made as well.

The food is great, but the takeout service needs some adjustment. I'll be going elsewhere...
