This restaurant ruined my engagement party...
So disappointed with our experience there on 3/1/24. Just a heads up, if you have more than 10 people in your party, you will NOT sit next to each other. They'll push 2 tables together to seat 10 and any more people that you have will sit in a separate booth/table, so half of your party's backs will be turned to them. Then, when you ask why you don't have a table with the correct number of seats, the staff will stare at you like you're from another planet.
Aside from the terrible seating arrangements, the food was a sorry excuse for Texas Roadhouses's normal. 2 people in our party ordered prime rib, which we were told was available in ALL sizes when we ordered. About 45 minutes later, our waitress came over, told us it was no longer available, and that she took it upon herself to substitute ribeyes for the no longer available prime rib. I have never been to a restaurant that didn't ASK before substituting anything- how unprofessional. Once our food arrived, 5 (out of 14) people in our party's food was lukewarm or cold. When we told our food runner this, she looked at us hesitantly, almost like she didn't believe us. Maybe they remade the food or maybe they heated up our original food, but we waited for an additional 30 minutes, on top of the 1 hour + that we waited originally. So ridiculous. Alisa, brought back new shrimp for my grandmother. To our not-so-surprise, the shrimp were still just as cold as the original entrée, and were able to be handled without utensils. When we had told her the shrimp were still not of desirable temperature, she said "yes they are." and walked away...? I have never seen such a sorry excuse for a "manager" anywhere, and she should really get some sort of attitude check. If she comes by your table at TXRH, RUN!
With everything going on in the restaurant, the staff is still too busy line dancing and screaming about someone's birthday when multiple tables, including ours, had several empty drinks and had requests for things that were forgotten in the kitchen... very annoying to all patrons I believe.
Finally we had met the manager, Chris, who seemed to be the only logical and competent manager in the building. He had asked me how to make things correct, but I'm not sure why it is my job as a patron to make a suggestion for the establishment's disorganization..?
From start to finish, our experience was a disaster. We all left vowing to never return. My engagement party was ruined, but hopefully we can laugh about this at...
Read moreEverytime that we have came here, the service has gone from bad to worse. There's always a turnover of staff, we always have to wait 10-15 minutes whenever we call in a reservation, then we have to wait for our server to help us, and we have to wait a long time for our food. We just went here tonight to celebrate my parents 30th wedding anniversary, and the service was awful. We called in for a reservation of four people at 5 pm, arrived a little after 5 pm and checked in, then was told there would be a 5-10 min wait. 5 minutes later, we got a server who took us to our table, seated us, then we waited for another server to help us. Then, we got different server (Tessa) who asked us for drinks. She went to get our drinks. We waited about 10 minutes for our drinks. She then came back to take our order. We told her we are still waiting on our drinks. She said she would check on it. We waited another 5 minutes until we flagged down two other employees to let them know that we were still waiting on our drinks. They said they would go and check on them. Another 5 minutes later, she came back with our drinks. In total, we waited about 20 min for our drinks, which is unacceptable. The reason our waitress gave us for waiting for because the strawberry lemonade had to be tapped or something. Do I believe the server's excuse? No, I don't. We got our food about 20 minutes after getting our drinks. We then asked for a spoon and some A1 sauce. Took 15 minutes for her to go and just a spoon and some steak sauce. Ridiculous that it took 15 minutes just to get two things from the kitchen when it should've taken maybe a minute or less to do that. We paid $67 for three people when we should've gotten all of our meals free since the service here sucked so bad. Honestly, I'm not too happy about this experience and I'm not too sure if I want to return since this isn't the first time we've had poor service at this joint. I swear, ever since COVID-19 started, lots of businesses have been blaming their staffing issues and poor service on the COVID pandemic. Do me a favor, Texas Roadhouse, and quit blaming your piss poor staff and piss poor service on something that is becoming a thing of the past. This place isn't what it used to be anymore. When they first opened, things were great, but after a few years, things went downhill. I've also heard the management here is awful. If your establishment is suffering this bad, then close your damn doors and don't bother reopening. Sorry not sorry that I left...
Read moreMy family and I were walk-ins (4 people) on mother's day this year, so we weren't expecting anything special seating wise which is perfectly fine. Our table was not clean upon arrival and had to wait several minutes for the hostess to find someone to wipe it off. We did get our peanuts and waters right away though. But no one came to ask for actual drink orders another ten minutes. Finally once we got our drinks put in they came in sporadically. Two sodas out of the three ordered, and a wrong sized beer not along with a fishbowl ordered. Then the last soda came several minutes later and the fishbowl another few after that. But my clumsy self spilled half of it all over the table and we attempted to flag any employee down to get a rag. We finally got it cleaned up and the employee kindly got us another one free. At this point we still didn't know who our actual waiter/waitresse was as we've been waited on by a few different employees. Now onto the food. Absolutely terrible, nearly nothing good to say. My father and I both ordered the 8oz sirloin, mine medium and his medium well. Both were made medium rare and just warm, not hot. Flavorful but lacking in quality, temperature, juiciness and consistency. Fries for everyone were room temperature and lacked any sort of flavor besides cooked potato. My mom's burger was very good although. Fresh bun and fixings, hot patty and condiments. My brother's chicken tenders were okay. Tasted pretty good but there was way more breading than chicken and a few of the pieces you bite into pure breading. The only good tasting that we really had was the chili, which we got AFTER THE MEAL WAS SERVED. Also served by a fourth employee telling us our waitress was busy with other tables, which we didn't even know who she was. I will say although that the food did come quickly. The manager gave us a large discount and pulled a couple items off the order. She apologized very sincerely and was incredibly helpful and understanding. As well I understand that it was a busy day, lots going on and to keep track of, but the execution could have been much better. I would have rather waited for my food to be made more properly and not rushed too. But overall the experience has changed my mind of the establishment and will not be returning. I would still recommend it for some things but in general would not...
