Chan's — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

I grew up going there. I always liked it. I would get the chicken and broccoli with white sauce, white rice. I would get wonton soup and shrimp roll. It's been there over 30 years. I don't know if it's new owners, have not ate there in awhile. I think it's been a few years. I have to back and try again. It's a take place, but they have a few tables. I called I wanted delivery which they don't do. I understand the roads are crazy, safety, they are busy cooking. They have I think GrubHub but I don't have any if those delivery apps. Seems like every time they are busy the food is horrendous I just ordered two meals and they both had basically no sauce and they are arguing with me that they get certain sources in which had barely any sauces on it still arguing with me that I was wrong I agreed with them they hang up on me and I called back and the lady tells me after asking to speak to the manager or owner go somewhere else don’t come here my recommendation go down the road to Nesconset to the Chinese food place a lot better and better meals customer service biggest waste of almost $26 on two meals and they don’t care to take care of their customers when they They are right up the block from my house run and don’t ever go there very rude seems like every time they are busy the food...

I have always enjoyed the food here, my experience has always been good with fresh ingredients. On Christmas Day I called to order takeout of tofu & vegetables, as the rest of my family was eating meat. I asked to substitute tofu for chicken in a combination plate and the lady just kept nearly shouting at me over the phone "chicken or pork!" She was very rude on the phone and when I picked up my order she was just as unfriendly. Someone called in an order while I was waiting and she just kept saying "yeah" in a nasty tone. Customer service is just as important as food quality, and I'm likely to check out other restaurants in the area despite this being the closest...
