Goldberg's Famous Bagels of Watermill — Restaurant in Town of Southampton

Decided to try this location on my way to Montauk. As I was standing on line I got that gut feeling that I should just leave and go to another location. The line was long and the store seemed chaotic. The customers and employees alike. The process was confusing. Enter the line down there, order bagels here, order your drink over there, pay down over there, and stand to wait wherever there is space. I wasn’t the only one experiencing the confusion. There seems to be plenty of inside seating on various styles of chairs and tables, but no one was using them. They should probably redesign to make the ordering and takeout process less cumbersome. I personally like the Goldberg’s locations that focus on just bagels ( not pizza, etc.) and where the ice coffee is self serve. Just my thoughts.

I went with a toasted everything bagel with olive cream cheese. The crème cheese was deliciousness. Very creamy. The bagel was a little small and doughy. Maybe it was an off day for this Goldbergs location.

So the atmosphere can be overwhelming to those who have anxiety. The long was really long but it moves along and they have a system that works, which I can appreciate. Wait total was perhaps 15 mins. Customers service was efficient and friendly, no complaints on that. On the other hand, Customers are all over the place and some bumping into each other, making this more difficult than it should be. I stepped out my comfort zone and got cucumber dill cream cheese. So freaking good. And I got an egg everything bagel toasted. It was great. Wish I could've had 2. Bagels are great any time of day. Nice fuel before we head...

I come to Goldberg’s Bagels in Water Mill all the time and it never disappoints. The bagels are always fresh and perfectly made, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My go-to is the bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and it hits the spot every single time. The staff already knows my order which makes the experience even better. Everyone is friendly, the service is quick, and the place is always clean. Whether I’m grabbing something to go or eating there, it’s always a solid start to my day.
