BEWARE OF BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!

On 6/29 I placed an order online for delivery for a pizza and a piece of cake. $35. I utilized the “recommended” app “SLICE” listed on their website. Received an email stating that my food would be delivered by 5:11 pm and then immediately received a follow up email saying it would be delivered later than expected - 5:18 pm. What a complete understatement that was because I never received my order at all.

I waited until 5:38 pm before reaching out to the “restaurant” to inquire about my order and was told “my driver had a problem” and was informed my order could not be delivered. I asked “so I have to come pick it up?” to which I was told “yes”. I then informed the man on the phone that I had no vehicle and would not be able to pick up the order and asked to be refunded. He asked if I ordered through “slice” and I confirmed and he said “ok”.

But guess what??? I was never refunded! What a surprise. When I contacted “slice” to request assistance, I was told that they could not help me because they were informed that I was the one that canceled the order after it was made. So … they basically lied.

Also, as a side note, I would HIGHLY recommend that you do not order through “slice” because after I explained my situation and what REALLY happened, I was told they were going to speak with the owner in an hour and a half and that they would get in touch with me once they did and, wouldn’t you know it… no one has contacted me and no refund has been issued. I will also be placing a complaint with the BBB regarding the third party vendor.

ALL OF THIS OVER A $35 DOLLAR REFUND THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN GRANTED DUE TO THEIR FAILURE TO DELIVER A SERVICE THAT I PAID FOR.

I wish I could give zero stars. My family and I have been customers for years. Two weeks ago I picked up pizza and a salad with my mom. When we arrived my mom asked the boy at the registers if the salad dressing had soy in it, as she’s allergic and the people in there had no clue so she said it was okay and that we would take it anyways because the salad was for several people. We went to a friends house with the food and when we opened the bag there was no salad dressing. We called up right away and the same boy answered and we asked them why there was no salad dressing and he started laughing and said we said we didn’t want it. Which makes no sense because you need to put it on the salad. We explained to him that we said we wanted it, we never said we didn’t. He then passed the phone to a lady (not sure if she was the manager) and he made up a story of how we said we didn’t want it when my mom specifically said she’ll still take it. she just wanted to know the ingredients because of her allergies. They began whispering (but we heard every word, they were talking about us and laughing and then she finally responded to me. She had a terrible attitude and the boy continued to laugh in the background. She responded with, “he said you told him you didn’t want it”, which was a complete lie because he wanted to save himself from his mistake. I would understand they may have gotten confused because of my mom asking about the ingredients inside but act professional. Laughing at a customer is extremely disrespectful, especially when it was your fault. We will not be returning & will be sure to warn our friends and family because this was not professional at all. Follow up 02/08/2020: Note...Prior review over a year ago.

Tonight I decided to go to this place after a movie. I sat down in the back part of the restaurant. I waited 15 minutes and not one person even acknowledged my presence. I sat quietly waiting fir the waitress to come to my table, meanwhile helping all the other tables that were there. Never a hello or a menu.

I got up and sent to the front counter, told the cashier and left. No one there could care about my presence. Time to downgrade my prior rating to a 1.

Today I stopped into the Pizza Place for a quick slice before the movie. The Pizza Place is redesign and and a new partnership of the prior John's Pizza. The place is very clean and their choices of foods from pizza and heroes to a full menu of appetizers and entrees.

Today I ordered a pepperoni and sausage slice, a pepperoni roll and a soft drink. The slice was delicious and loaded with meat and the roll was a nice sized and delicious as well. The fountain drinks are a refill which I like.

Their display case is loud with different pizzas and rolls, they all looked inviting! I will be going back to try the dinners! Give them a visit, you...
