China Star Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Southeast

Unlike the other reviewers, I didn’t experience “the rude lady answering the phone.” When I called, the gentleman was quite pleasant. The ordering process was relatively simple, he reaffirmed their location, and ensured me that I could pay by debit card in store.

Admittedly, the interior of the store leaves a lot to be desired. I also would have appreciated a self serving station for utensils and sauces and was surprised when none were immediately provided.

I ordered Chicken and Broccoli and a Pork Eggroll. I felt the Chicken and Broccoli could have used some more chicken and that the broccoli could have been smaller. I felt like I was getting less even though I was probably paying at least a dollar more than other Chinese food stores in the area.

I also can’t attest to the cleanliness of the store. It didn’t seem impeccable, but in no way, shape, or form, did it feel “dirty.”

While I plan on sticking with the Chinese restaurant by me, I think it’s fair to say that some of these reviews seem a tad unreasonable. It’s Chinese takeout, not a...

Food is like any other fast food Chinese restaurant. Will never give them another penny. They are VERY RUDE to customers. Last night, I saw a man place a large order for almost $50, and one of the men working there YELLED OUT LOUD and in front of people that he should charge him an extra $5 for taking too much duck sauce...totally attempting to humiliate the customer, but I will never go there again because, God forbid you should take sauce for your large order. The behavior was totally uncalled for, and there's a Chinese restaurant on every corner WITHOUT rude people who help you stay in business. If this is how patrons of your restaurant are treated, then maybe people in our town will be glad...

I've been going here for years! They had good food at a good price... until just recently they raised their prices considerably... and for something that I used to order with an extra ingredient and was included in the price - they charge extra for! And for the amount they charged extra, I could have gone to the store and gotten a can of it for cheaper. Not only that but the lady on the phone was rude about it!

I will NEVER go...
