JV Bagels Brewster — Restaurant in Town of Southeast

One word: FANTASTIC! This is one of 2 reviews- read below for the newest one. I could not post the reviews separately. We are originally from Long Island and used to 'good bagels'. The bagels in the area are subpar in our opinion. Then one day we noticed a new bagel place! Brewster Hot Bagels. O-M-G! These bagels are just like Long Island bagels! Just the right crunch, not doughy, not tough. We no longer ask our family to bring bagels with them when they visit! We get our own! They also have WHITEFISH SALAD!!!! (no one knows what that is up here) Its fresh and delicious. In addition to all this they have a large variety of coffee cakes, turnovers, cupcakes, and .....(roll the drum) Rainbow cookies- the good ones! The plaza is located on Rt 6 near the intersection of Drewville Rd and Rt 6, right next door to the Mobile gas station which is on the corner of Drewville and Rt6. The plaza is being renovated, but don't let that stop you! These bagels are worth it. The storefront is clean, the coffee good, and the owners are quite pleasant. December 1, 2019- I couldn't write another review so I will add to this one. One 12/1/19 we hosted a post wedding breakfast for our hotel guests. We had 50 guests attend and asked Brewster Hot Bagels to cater it. They did an amazing job! They got to the event early (they got there before we did) and had everything ready to go. From bagels, to cream cheeses, to muffins, pastries, whitefish, coffee, tea, milk, half and half, orange juice, sugar, 'to go' cups and coffee jugs for left over coffee, they had everything prepared beautifully. They brought extra supplies with them just in case we forgot ...and some things we did! Thank you guys so much for...

Baked fresh daily bagels all day every day! This place is located next to this little Rainbow daycare school thing. They even have a rainbow bagel for kids! Thought that was too too cute. Not gonna lie, I wanted to order one myself. Maybe next time I’ll pretend it’s not for me, wink wink.

Found this place looking for a new bagel spot. Reviews looked good and the place opened up recently so I said, why not? This is their second location!

As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by excited cashiers that are ready to serve you, help you decide on what to get and take your order. They have MANY bagel choices to choose from as well as deli options. All bagels can be turned to breakfast sandwiches so that’s pretty cool. HUGE muffins are available and other bakery items as well in case you’re having a sweet tooth. Talk about sweet tooth, they have a FRENCH TOAST bagel! My only disappointment is I wanted to get the walnut cream cheese but it had raisins. Meh. No one likes raisins lol. JK!

Also, plenty of coffee options available as a self serve. Dark roast, light roast, vanilla , hazelnut. All that. All the different creamer flavors available as well! If you’re vegan or lactose intolerant they have almond milk for your coffee.

As a local employee, I frequently go into the bagel shop sometimes multiple times a day. I am always impressed with the exceptionally kind and outstanding customer service I receive from everyone who works there. I walk in and immediately I am remembered and greeted by first name, which always makes me smile! It truly makes me happy seeing such satisfied staff working together to keep a clean and affordable bagel shop running smoothly. I can’t imagine it being easy.
