The manager humiliated us. We had a big party, we called to verify MULTIPLE times, that we were okay. We knew we had to sit at 2 separate tables and my entire party knew. We are all extremely understand covid restrictions and we are all extremely careful, that is why we called and had a printed reservation which they consistently told us they don’t take reservations. When we came in, they announced to the entire vineyard that we somehow got past security and were “allowed” in. She also announced, to the entire vineyard, that we had to go to the back of the lawn to drink and that we WERE NOT welcome and banned from being inside or on the patio. We kindly tried to address the situation with the manager, who refused to give us her name, and refused to apologize. We felt unwelcome and the walk of shame that she put us through will be unforgettable. We were there for a Mother’s Day celebration. We will never recommend this...
Read moreSo disappointed. The salami and cheese they serve are literally grocery store bought and served to you like that. Inside a plastic box. They don’t even open it and put it on a plate for you to pretend is nice. There’s no tasting. The flights are just given to you all at once (all 4 glasses at once) and no explanation whatsoever on the wines. It’s a nice looking place but only if you sit outside. If it’s cold or rainy DO NOT go. The inside is very small and uncomfortable. It’s like a bar where you pay for your wine at the counter and then go drink your wine. It’s not the experience I wanted at a winery, I personally wanted the experience of having someone explain the wine to us and a cozy experience. Besides, the wines are were not good. Truly. Borghese Winery just 10min away was 100% better, the wines were amazing, the service and the...
Read moreWe all really enjoyed the outdoor shaded sitting area next to the main building. The live music was the best I've heard at one of these places. We bought glasses of wine and had some free palate cleansing crackers, and stayed over 2 hours with our friends from the city.
It was hot that day but the shade and high ceilings of the patio area made the experience very comfortable!
The wine was pretty good here, but pricey - as are ALL of the Long Island wineries.
If one is silly enough to get swept up in a buying frenzy in the afterglow of wine tasting flight (or two), one will arrive home with some bottles of over priced wine. Unfortunately it has happened to me more than once out east, but I've learned my lesson and look for bottles at local wine shops anywhere else on Long Island now. They will sell those same bottles half...
