Edit: I was going to change my rating due to the owner giving a refund, which while appreciated, was not the point of my review. It seems very suspicious that like 5 or 6 5-star reviews have popped within mins to a few hours after my review. Most small businesses would be incredibly lucky to get a couple reviews same day. And a few reviews where this is their only rating? My review had legitimate concerns that should be seen by others and it appears that they are manipulating the review system to make up for my 1 star review. Further disappointment.
I rarely leave bad reviews but I'm very disappointed with both the service and quality of the macarons my husband got me for my birthday from here. The macarons are TINY for the price - $2.25 each, if they were actually good that price would be fine. The shells are crunchy and dry, and crumble when you bit into them instead of being soft and chewy like they should be. And then the taste the Piña colada tastes like sun tan lotion. The birthday cake has no taste bc of the amount of sprinkles they use. The salted caramel tastes completely artifical. The cherry almond was the only decent flavor and I still didn't like them. On top of that my husband, who is an easy going guy said the lady behind the counter acted annoyed and short with him when he asked her questions. I love macarons, have had them from many different patisseries from around the world and these macarons are the worst I've had. I wish we could get a refund, what a...
Read moreRecently, Fig Tree Patisserie catered for our small wedding party, and I must say, they exceeded our expectations in every way. Natalie and her team went above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience, both in terms of service and the quality of their offerings. We opted for a beautiful vegan dessert table, and Fig Tree Patisserie provided us with plenty of options to choose from. They even offered rental hardware and delivery for an additional fee, which we gladly accepted. The delivery and setup service proved to be a lifesaver, making the rest of the day much smoother, and their team did an excellent job setting everything up.
Let me tell you, the desserts were an absolute delight! Every bite was bursting with flavor, and our guests were genuinely impressed.
We wholeheartedly recommend Fig Tree Patisserie, and without a doubt, we will be using their services again for any future events. Additionally, their patisserie is definitely worth stopping by to indulge in a treat. We give them a solid 10/10 for their exceptional catering service and...
Read moreI love my plant based lifestyle, but it’s a downer when you want to treat yourself to something sweet. Not many places accommodate. The first time I went to Fig Tree I was in vegan heaven. The fruit tart is AMAZING. The vegan cheesecake came around shortly after and it’s so incredible that you’ll just have to try it to understand.
I live in the North Towns but will make the trip as a little treat to myself. I always go with that fruit tart on my mind, but when i hit the counter a lot more comes out of my mouth than fruit tart and I leave with boxes (The staff has never asked me if it’s all for me and I so appreciate that because yes. It is.)
A big thanks to the business for accommodating so many diets. People with dietary restrictions will understand when I say that it can sometimes even be emotional when you go somewhere and realize there is nothing at all for you. Fig Tree is a little oasis for those like me that want options like everyone else. Equally amazing is that even my non vegan family loves the vegan...
