Nowhere Lounge — Restaurant in Town of Tonawanda

I have been to Nowhere Lounge about three or four times now. The aesthetic is neat and the drinks are great. Last night however was a terrible experience and none of the employees stepped in to help. We were out for a birthday celebration and had a group of about 7 or 8. We were able to cozy up in the back of the bar on the couch and chairs. At about 9 or 10pm a group of people came in and started to bully and attempt to push us out of our spot. We had been minding our business and chatting away with each other and it was just odd and annoying at first. As soon someone in our group got up to use the restroom two of the other group came in and sat right on top of our stuff and uncomfortably close to one of our friends who again, had already been seated. Then another one their group came over and started to scream at the top of her lungs at us for simply occupying the space. That we were in. And had been in. The bartenders were within full hearing range as this woman got more irate, in our faces, and screaming at the top of her lungs. The staff did and said nothing. One of our group actually went up to one of the bartenders and suggested to cut her off but nothing was done and in fact they kept getting served all night. It was an awful experience and I know we won’t be back. I used to tell friends and clients about how cool of a place it was, but after last night and the lack of control in the bar I will definitely steer clear and let them...

The total was 42.42 the tip was 5$ at 47.42 ... I just got a transaction charge for 50.90... after being ignored at the bar for a bit of time afterwards which was fine but annoying. Until I got an eye roll for asking for sour in a drink that to my friend she wouldn't drink because the liquor tasted too cheap... I wasn't here for long just checking out somewhere different but I wouldn't come again and I hope they fix this nowhere business

Response: if you knew when I came in that I asked for a Red Bull vodka. Then you should also know that I ordered three old fashions for me and my friends. Which are $12 each via what is says online. So make that make sense for the 42.42 I got charged. This seems to be a common practice by the bartender, so she didn't just charge me for more than I bought, she then also altered the tip amount. This is terrible practice, this cannot be the first time this has been brought up after how comfortable she was doing both those things. And if your company had a phone, then I could have talked about this away from Google review... Thanks for the refund but the issue at hand I have no way of knowing if it got resolved. This was my experience...

To say I am upset is an understatement. My family and I lost my father a few years ago, and read about this place in an article. We read that items were stolen from the business and thought we’d make a donation to them, of some older items we had. Obviously we understand that everything we donated would not be pictured in the restaurant….but my mother went above and beyond to make a donation to this business, and was so excited to go there tonight and see if any of the items we donated were on display in the business. Through casual conversation with the owner, he indicated that the business had received a lot of “junk”, and went on to name the items we had donated. He did not know that we were the family who donated them. My mother is so hurt by this, and now our items are gone and unable to be gotten back.
