This place has always had a special place in my heart, not because I have any kind of connection to the owners, whom are lovely people, but because my grandmother used to eat here every Friday night. She loved it, we would come out with her also, we all loved it. Not much has changed over the years. The menu has stayed roughly the same. It used to be entrees came with a soup and salad, now they come with soup OR salad. Which I guess covers any kind of inflation because it doesn't seem like the menu prices have changed much over the years either. I don't always go out to eat here, maybe a couple times a year, not because it's bad, I don't recall any times where my meal was "bad", I've had overcooked seafood or something like that, but nothing to complain about. This latest visit, it was just myself and my 2 year old. We went inside, waitress asked us to sit where we want, and was so friendly and warm and attentitive all night. Granted the place wasn't packed, but it wasn't quiet either. It was kind of early anyways, it was maybe 5pm or so... People were starting to pile in as we left. I feel like it's busy every Friday there. The owners do a wonderful job with cooking and serving. Here's a story... Probably 10 years ago, I was eating there with my ex wife, we had a gift card from my Aunt for Christmas. By the end of dinner our gift card was gone and owners said they couldn't find it. I asked if they threw it out by accident, she said she looked. I was out a $25 gift card. Well years later while the owners were remodeling the eating area, they found my gift card behind a baseboard heater. It must have got knocked off the table and 1 in a million landed directly behind the heater and the wall. The owner saw the name on it and got it back to my Aunt, who got it back to me. Fun story and it shows how genuine and honest these people are. She didn't have to do that, she wanted to do that. For these reasons I will never turn down when someone says "let's eat at Pine Grove"

Pretty disappointed, I had to send my steak back. I had asked for well done. Not even close to well done the first time. I go in the bathroom. I can hear everything the cook was saying. Made me feel so uncomfortable. No not everyone wasn’t a juicy steak. I asked for well done. I’ve gotten sick before so it makes me worried. But then to hear the cook talk crap about you. Then comes back out still not cooked. I won’t be back. The bathroom has an open wall shared with the kitchen. So uncomfortable. I’m sorry to ask for my steak that I’m paying for well done.

Spending the night in Tupper Lake, found this terrific restaurant, arrived just after opening at 4:30 PM. Get there early if you’re going because it fills up very quickly, it seemed to be the place with a local eat, which means it must be good and it was.Two waitresses only but they work the room like professionals always checking on the meal how things are. Home cooking and homemade desserts well worth checking out. Shown in the photos are the country fried steak and the homemade cheesecake with raspberry sauce

By far the best customer service I have ever recieved at a restaurant! They were getting close to closing time when our group of 6 came in and they were happy to serve us anyways. Everything was good! The food was amazing! I never get dessert when out to dinner and I gave in for this place. We got a blueberry pie that was homemade and sooo good! They were telling us stories about the resturant and really made us out of towners feel at home! The ladies were wonderful! The cook really knew what they were doing! I highly recommend this place! I will be telling everyone I know to come here while visiting the adirondacks! I'm hoping to go again before leaving to...
