Imagine if your cool friends opened up an ice cream stand. And, I'm not talking about your, "cool friends", who try to tell you that Radiohead only hit their stride after "OK Computer" or who try to play Nas at a party. This is an Ice Cream stand opened by the friends you actually enjoy hanging out with. The ones who throw the best neighborhood parties that are a blast, but not overbearing.
That's the vibe of the Ice Cream Bar! The ice cream itself is fantastic, especially the Dole Whip (yes, that Dole Whip! The type you can usually only get when you go to Disney). There is plenty of space (that is fenced in) for the kids to run around, chalkboards to draw on, a giant magnetic poetry board, and I'm told some other fun 'backyard style' games to make the Ice Cream Bar stand out from your average ice cream run.

Will definitely be back. Our 2 1/2 year old had a blast...
Read moreIce cream stand and bar. Strange concept from new NYC owners and execution is awkward. Hodgepodge is best description, with odd fenced-in and scattered uncomfortable vibe. Ice cream portions are small for the prices, which are high-end for the area. They also offer some simple food take-aways like hotdogs and mac/cheese. And let's not forget the Bar (wine and beer). He he! Family centered says their hype. Their jumbled concept just makes things seem messy...
