I didn't want to write this, but I feel like I need to. And I hope I honestly can come back in 2 months and edit this review to 5 stars. This place holds a soft spot in my heart, as I was here almost every Tuesday from the spring of 2017, until the Blind Tiger suddenly was closed for good one day. Needless to say my wife and I were very excited last fall when we found out the Pour House was coming. We eagerly awaited the re-opening, anticipating all the good times we'd have once again. So finally The Pour House is open for business. We were finally able to go on Tuesday night. As expected it was packed, which is a good sign. Plenty of quality beers on tap. Our waitress was very nice and very attentive. So what's the problem Chris? One big gaping problem. The god damn food. Again, I'm truly hoping to attribute this to growing pains and that once they're open for a few months all the kinks will be worked out and I can re-write this review with 5 stars. But I feel I needed to write about my experience so hopefully they can improve. Nobody is perfect. But we can all learn from our mistakes and hopefully strive to get better. First we ordered the poutine as an app, which was soggy, and had minimal flavor. It was edible but not worth eating. So we ate about half that and our dinners arrived. I got the fried chicken sandwich and my bride got the black bean burger on a gluten free roll. Her burger was supposed to have a coleslaw on top but it was just chopped broccoli and the burger basically just crumbled and fell apart. The chicken was terrible. Rubbery, too thick of a piece of chicken breast for a sandwich roll, the breading was just falling off the piece of meat, zero flavor and topped with some pickles and mustard. Just very dissatisfied with the food. As far as hanging out there and drinking? It's a great time. Cleaned up the bar, re-did the taps, great beer selections. So if you wanna have a good time and have some drinks, head on over. For me, I'll be sure to eat dinner before I come. Hopefully this will change in the...
Read morePour house owner(s), I get employees are hard to find right now but you may want to have a meeting with all of your employees. Daisy failed in this assessment. Lack of attention to all of her customers. It was slow at the time we were here. I will not have much luck bringing my wife back again with 2 failures with service in a row. 2 orders came out wrong. Pretzel was supposed to be with no toppings and burger with no cheese, both wrong. I got my own beer, while waitress Daisy was on her phone behind the bar. Been here many times and fell in love with this place. Now, an obvious lack of owners being responsible and not paying attention to detail. Customers next to me was asked if everything was ok and they have not even received their meals yet. No attention to detail. There are many places to get good service and food, Pour House owners, know this and act as you should. You will end your reputable business as it has been if this continues and close. Good luck to you if you do not heed this as a warning. I will assess once again but on the next assessment will not remain as a review on Google. I am starting a professional restaurant appraisal business and every detail will be provided beyond locally. Thank you if you even care...
Read moreWhere to begin? Wife and I ordered the nachos to share as an appetizer. Cheap looking nachos. Barely any toppings, with sour cream being the main ingredient, having been squeezed through a ketchup bottle all over the plate. Really disappointing.
So, we both ordered 10 wings each. 10 wings for 15 bucks, they should at least be decent. Nope.
I ordered mine medium, extra crispy. There wasn't any sauce at all, and they were most definitely not medium. Then, I bite into one and it is super soggy. Had to spit that out, and couldn't finish the rest. I only ate 3 wings. Incredibly disgusting.
My Wife ordered Garlic Parmesean. She asked if the sauce is made with fresh ingredients, waitress stated yes. What came out of the kitchen was not fresh. At all. She couldn't even eat one wing. I took a bite myself, and spit it out. Not crispy, the "Garlic Parmesean" must have been in the deep fryer too, as it was so greasy, with a gelatin type of substance. We almost got sick from that, so had to get our check and leave.
That food, and a 16oz Guinness (which was very cold and tasty, so good job on that at least) was $60 dollars, including tip. Unbelievable waste of time and money. I got home and had to...
