Was hosting a small get together and wanted to do a little something nice for the people coming over. I placed a $65.00 order online for this place. Had never been here, knew nothing about the joint. Had the order picked up (various assortment of baked goods) got the items and was told, "Oh they didn't have a few of the items you ordered so she just gave you other stuff instead" mind you this order was placed in the morning on a Saturday at like 9:30am When we opened up the boxes to begin to enjoy the items we first discovered WOW are these cinnamon buns HUGE! đłđ˛ Then we began to cut into them to find out the were dry as sand, and hard to the touch. đ But so was everything else! And when I say hard, I literally mean H-A-R-D! Like no joke I was slamming the cookies and the half moons on the table and it sounded like a hammer hitting it! The ONLY thing that was good were the cinnamon sugar donuts. Everything else was a huge disappointment! So naturally I called and spoke to some woman who identified herself as "I'm the supervisor" and I told her the issue and asked if these goods were baked last week and sold today because of how insanely hard they were. She then said, "Why no, I just took them off the cart today" which I have a very hard time believing based on the mere fact of how hard and inedible these things were. She did cancel/refund the money back to my card. But it's the principal of it that as a brand new customer who has never been to your establishment this is not exactly how things should kick off. Highly disappointed all around. The end result we ended up having to go to Dunkin and get two dozen...
Read moreDo not get your wedding cake though the bakehouse. Horrible product. Even worse customer service. We met with McKenzie to discuss or wedding cake design and flavors a few months before our wedding. I was so excited to see our wedding cake! When the day came, the first thing I went to look at was our cake. To my shock, it was not what we had discussed at all. It was white and our cake was supposed to be burgundy. Also, the cake was very poorly done. It wasn't completely covered with frosting with obvious bare spots. The cake was also crooked. It didn't stand up straight. I was so embarrassed for this to be displayed as my wedding cake. When I contacted McKenzie about the issue it took a day for her to even respond to me. And when she did it was a hollow apology and no offer of compensation for her horrible work. I responded stating a refund was in order. It took a day for her to respond to that and she said they'd be sending a gift card. I received the gift card weeks late and it was for $50. That is not equivalent to the price of a wedding cake. It's honestly appaling how this was handled and I'm shocked it even happened in the first place. Don't let McKenzie ruin your wedding vision with her lack of skill and...
Read moreMy husband and I have tried this restaurant 3 times. The first time was ok so we decided to try again on our way through the town.
The second visit I got an oatmeal raisin cookie and when I reached into the bag about a half hr into our car ride, the cookie bottom was burnt and the cookie was so hard I couldnât even break it.
We once again gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried this last and FINAL time. Not only was our bill $31 dollars, but the $10 house salad ( that only consists of lettuce, a handful of vegetables and a few croutons) was rotten. The lettuce was all limp, the croutons had the consistency of a sponge and the cucumbers had mold and some were slimy. Usually restaurants use sell by dates on their food to maintain freshness and there was nothing marked on the container. Also it was impossible to tell the state of the salad just by looking into the container.
The half moon we bought was once again either over cooked or old because I couldnât even break it slamming it on the dash of our truck.
You should really do a overhaul on your practices and level of care if you intend on keeping your business.
We will never return to this establishment and that is sad because we like to support...
