Family Farm Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Wallkill

My kids and i went here today. it was terrible. When we first got there we saw a sign that said they don't accept credit cards. In this day and age even vending machines take credit card. Anyway we had to go to the laundry mat next door. Upon trying to re enter this is cream shop there was a man standing right at the front door with a large dog that was trying to jump on everyone that was waling in or out and peeing on the welcome mat. I'm 7 months pregnant and don't need someones dog jumping on me. I had to tell my 5 year old son just to go by fast so we would be jumped on by the large dog. Once we all got inside we stood at the counter waiting to be helped. Another women had come in after we had been standing there waiting. instead of taking our order the girl behind the counter helped the women who came in after us. At this point i am now fuming mad. Once the only other woman working there asks me if I'm being helped i responded "are you sure you want to help me there are still other people who showed up after me who havent been helped". I told her what was going on and she said she was sorry and took my order. Even thought she stopped making my order to help the girl make the order that came in after me. Needless to say it took over 30 minutes to get two small plain ice creams. Then when trying to leave the man with the dog was sitting at the table right next to the door with his dog trying to jump on the people trying to go in or out. The owner should have asked them nicely to move further from the exit. The ice cream was nothing special. Just hersheys ice cream. Not worth the wait or the stress. Never going there again. Only gave it one star...

Drove to a family ice cream place to get one of the worst milk shakes I've ever tried. I wanted real ice cream and an actual milkshake so I figured I'd skip the fast food places and get something really good. They have strawberry ice cream , but they make milkshakes with vanilla soft serve mixed with strawberry syrup. They filled a 3rd of the cup with milk. The milkshake was like sweet water. I even noticed before they put the syrup and just changed my order to plain vanilla. How do you have good strawberry ice cream and resort to using syrup? Wont visit again. Any fast food place makes better milkshakes. The service was very good. The lady was very nice and the place looked good. Got several replies from the owner and they assumed me they have the option to make the milkshake as you want. They also seemed genuinely concerned with my experience and that is more than enough to get a better review. I would hope in the future they just make a good milkshake without having to ask for it , but I'm sure some people would like the milkshake they made for me. This was the most expensive ice cream I have ever had. I ordered a small cone. She handed it to me and it was dripping all over the place. At that instant. I considered walking out but it certainly wasn't her fault. The ice cream was not to temperature. They had three young. What looked like high schoolers or college students working in there. I was never greeted or said hello to. I asked for sprinkles and to my surprise the best bite of ice cream is always the last at the bottom of the cone where the ice cream is kind of melty at the bottom. I bit into the bottom of the cone and it was full of sprinkles. I have never in my life. Had somebody put sprinkles in the bottom of the cone. I had to throw it out. The ice cream was nearly $7 for a small cone. I knew better that I should have went to Stewart's next door. Never disappointed there and the toppings...
