Encountered this lovely gem with a few dear traveling companions while in the region. Normally a chatty bunch when we gather. Not at this place! Each of us was just so impressed with the care put into our food. Our waitress was ever so kind and accommodating for us as well. We all ordered the berry pie. Listen, I know it says on the bottom of the menu the name of the gifted craftsman for the pies made there. But we all agree that whoever they are…that person is a magical unicorn of the pie crafting universe! Over 200 years of pie eating experience between the lot of us and none could recall having EVER encountering such a remarkable berry pie. Not runny. Perfect blend of flavors. One of the best American style restaurant in the cute little town. I took my lunch break on my way to Washington from Toronto. The vibe of the place was amazing with lovely Christmas decorations all over. The food is excellent. I tried their chicken mushroom wrap and it was delicious. The portion size is generous, I could have it for both of my meals. I love their fresh and hot fries as well. I also tried their beef on wack which was the special for the day. Its basically a slice of bread and generous amount of meat cooked as per our preference. The customer service is excellent and very friendly. We go to Laurie's every year when the Appleumpkin festival is going on, as we live closer to Buffalo. It's a cute little place with great food. The beef on weck is amazing. The hubby always gets a wrap of some sorts and onion rings. We've never had a bad meal there. The service is excellent, the staff is always friendly. They also have great desserts. We usually save our need for sweets and grab ice cream at Glosser farms on the way home. If we lived closer we would go more often, but we go just once or twice a year, 10+ years now.
