Barrel 28 — Restaurant in Town of Warwick

When we heard this restaurant was owned by Grappa, we had to try it. I’m really hoping I heard wrong because this place was TERRIBLE. From the service to the food, it was all around awful. We were seated in front of where the salads were being made which was fine (the room was actually really cute). When a waitress finally came over, she asked for our drink orders and we were also ready to put apps in so we ordered both. The nachos came out pretty quickly but still no drinks. After another 10 minutes I asked if we could get our drinks since I noticed our waitress kept chatting with someone she clearly knew at a table nearby versus waiting on us. After she brought our drinks, she took our food order. My truffle fries finally came out and were disgusting. All parsley, no parm or truffle taste. I told the waitress she could take them after trying one. We then noticed a Caesar salad was sitting on the bar now and joked because we ordered one and thought it couldn’t be done that fast. We watched that same salad sit there for 25 minutes and then the waitress got it and brought it to our table with our other food! So much for fresh salad. My daughter’s wings were what looked like frozen wings partially cooked and fatty. We asked our waitress if we could get the meat and cheese platter for her, hoping that would be better. It was okay but again nothing compared to Grappa. We then figured okay maybe the deserts will be a winner. I’m pretty sure they’re also ordered from somewhere and they weren’t anything special. I think the worst part is that we just wanted to get out of there after how horrible everything was but our waitress was always missing or talking to her friends versus working. This place does not disappoint. Have been here multiple times but I'm finally leaving a review. Upon entry, you're greeted by the lovely bartender who inquiries about your seating preferences. After that you're passed on to a hostess who accommodates you to your preference of seating. Our waitress was Avery. She was very attentive, nice, and charming. She provided everything we requested and did not hesitate to make herself available.

They have an outdoor seating area that affords much room and a shaded cover with nice lighting. The chairs at this seating area can be better. They're somewhat uncomfortable, do not provide enough back support, and they are oriented in a leaned back position. This makes the seating somewhat uncomfortable.

The menu provides great variety and a nice selection different types of pizzas can be found. The wings are great also. The food is great. The service is great. The bar arrangement is very accommodating. The atmosphere is very calm and pleasant, and you'll definitely be satisfied. I highly recommend. They also offer Brunch on Sundays from noon to 3pm. We have been here several times every time he gets better. Tonight we had the privilege of having Alexa as our bartender and we actually had the privilege of the meeting Mark, who is the owner which we have never met before. So before that we had Sarah as our bartender as she was changing shifts, and she was absolutely amazing. Very personable a lot of fun very beautiful young lady. That just made our experience. Amazing. We never had her as a bartender before, but she was definitely wonderful. So we continued our night and had Alexa as a bartender and we ended up meeting Mark the owner. He treated us like family. My wife is a teacher. I’m a retired police officer, and he treated us amazingly and actually should respect for our careers and that meant a lot for us. The food was great. Thursday is martini and meatball night. But we didn’t go for just that. We also ordered off the menu And the food was outstanding. Like I said we have been there before just for a few drinks, but Mark and Alexa and Sarah made us feel like we really belong there and we will definitely be back on a much more regular basis. Thank...
