El Azteca Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Warwick

Used to be a regular 1-2 x a week. Last 2 times i got home , sides were missing plus an order of guacamole. I called about it. Gentleman actually laid phone down to go back and question the cook about it and told me cook said it was in bag. Made to feel like i lied about it. Po’ed big time. Next time some weeks later same thing. Got home after asking if all my stuff was there bc last time i was missing stuff. Assured me it was. Got home and guess what- was missing the side for my entree. Called again. Guy put another guy on phone who went back to the cook to ask him again once again was told the cook said he put it in there. Told the guy thats it im done coming there. 3 entrees -all Enchiladas, guac , chips and a small Salsa.69$ and change. Looked atmy receipt and menu they gave me with my meal. Had dinner on a weekend evening. Despite the restaurant being fairly crowded we were quickly seated at a table near the bar. Drinks were decent, maybe slightly over priced just like the guacamole and chips. The food arrived quickly and the combo plates were a good sized portion. The salsa was mild and easy to go through an entire bowl with the appetizer tortilla chips. If you are looking for a sit down Mexican restaurant with a full bar and a selection of Mexican beers, this is a good place to go. Think less like a California taco shop and more like the traditional Mexican restaurant that we've all enjoyed celebrating with friends for one occasion or another. Our family stopped by this restaurant after a recommendation from a local who told us it was the best Mexican food around. Unsure if the quality has gone down since the pandemic started or not but if this is the best around then the community is sorely lacking a good Tex-Mex restaurant. Our fairly large party was seated pretty quickly given the short notice which was very much appreciated but after that the only other service that was provided with that amount of timelines was the check being delivered at the end of our meal.
