I stumbled upon this roaster on my way to Brooklyn through Greenwood Lake to look at some real estate. While making a right I spotted the shop and popped in to grab a cup to fuel my long trip ahead. I walked in the small yet charming and literally working roasting shop and asked if they had decaf- as I canât have caffeine. Luck for me I was informed they had been voted the best decaf in - I thought I heard âin the worldâ - so I bought a bag. Being a coffee lover and only being able to drink decaf I was intrigued; most decaf is terrible to say the least. I love roasters and have visited many. I held onto the bag through the rest of my crazy week and finally this morning I ground my decaf beans and made a French press full of aromatic decaf Greenwood Lake Coffee Roasters coffee..... HOLY cow!!!! They were not kidding !!!!!!!!! Fantastic delicious the- best- decaf: wait: best - coffee- I have had in my life!! Simply amazing!!! Thank goodness I can buy online! So happy I stumbled into this amazing...
Read moreI had an iced coffee at the Teaneck farmers market. I love that the neighboring coffee cart doesnât serve their coffee when this provider is present. I was delighted to see coffee cubes go into the coffee. They did melt quite fast unfortunately so I might have liked also some regular ice in there too. I got mine w almond milk. I did add more almond milk after leaving. I was not particularly impressed unfortunately overall. I would be inclined to try a brewed coffee as the temp drops!! I personally find iced coffee usually is a miss. Cold brew is a little more reliable for flavor and strength / concentration I feel. Potentially would have been a better hit had I selected oat milk - I canât remember if that was available. The brand and all that really changes the taste...
Read moreI go here on a pretty regular basis since thereâs not many other coffee places nearby. My friend worked here for a while and quit because of the owner (or roaster manager, not sure) who I later met and was an absolute jerk. It was a holiday but it wasnât too busy, and having worked in cafes in the past I was used to shops giving a free refill on their drip coffee. I guess I should have asked because my cup was about 3/4 full and I just wanted it a little warmer. They could have put it in a microwave, I didnât care but the girl working offered to top it off and I accepted. It did not make him happy and he was quite unkind after that⌠made me feel like an idiot. Iâll still support this place, but not if heâs there. Just beware of a tall guy with a...
