GWL Ice Cream Shack — Restaurant in Town of Warwick

First and foremost...the ice cream is great. Flavorful and worth the wait.

Second...the wait.

I was maybe 4th or 5th in line. I was in line for over 20 minutes. The orders in front of me were not complex. The employees were nice and welcoming but the pace at which they were working was a little frustrating. I'm not expecting back breaking labor in an ice cream shop but when there's a long live almost to the road and you have two employees wiping down appliances and tidying up as they finish each order...not a recipe for fast service. I'm sure it's real clean in there though which ...

The ice cream was fantastic — we really enjoyed it! However, I was surprised and disappointed that my sister, who is 9 months pregnant and due in just a few days, was not allowed to use the restroom.

While I understand that the restroom is private, I believe a reasonable exception could have been made given the urgency of her condition. Unfortunately, we were turned away and told to find another restroom, which was not available nearby.

It was an uncomfortable and stressful experience for her, and I hope in the future more consideration can be given in...

Located five minutes away from the famed Bellvale Creamery, the GWL Ice Cream shack holds its own. I always prefer to go to the Ice Cream shack, since I know I will be able to get a solid serving of ice cream in less than five minutes. Even on weekends, I've never waited long or had more than a few people ahead of me in line-- this is in contrast to the sometimes 40+ minute wait up the road.
