Don't come here looking for fancy anything. When I say home cooked, it's just like home cooked food you remember from mom's or grandma's house. No frills or fancy plating. Items like fried bologna, macaroni and cheese, goulash and sausage gravy & biscuits are offered here. Not pretentious at all. This is not the place for a fancy date, rather a place to come to when you are in need of COMFORT FOOD. My husband and I love going to this place on a Saturday morning after sleeping in late and in need of a big breakfast but don't feel like cooking. No dressing up required. Portions are big and prices are small. We always leave full and usually with left overs for later. Kid friendly with a good realistic menu aimed at kids at a great price. Just visited this restaurant and ordered a Greek omelet with no chicken. Omelet came with chicken 🐔 and I returned it after speaking with the waitress. She apologized and said the cook will make a new one. When the new omelet came out it still had chicken 🐔. I don't understand why this waitress is so incompetent. In addition, I observed the cooks wearing no gloves while handling food and not washing their hands. Makes me sick. Stay away from the place. The reviews below are misleading. Baseball-themed diner, though the team promoted is NYC's Yankees instead of the Blue Jays, which is somewhat closer. The food itself is delicious and very affordable. The waitstaff is pleasant though understaffed during this review. The bathroom is clean, and there is an automatic teller machine on premises, which is important since this diner accepts only cash!
