China Wok — Restaurant in Town of Whitehall

We get food from here not often but since the fair haven one closed we have been getting food from this one and we aren’t happy with it. We want to but it just gets worse each time . I’ve tried a few different things just to give it a chance and tonight was the worst!!! I ordered chow mein and just got onions and cabbage and “boiled tiny strips of what I suppose is chicken meat” WHITE and slimy. I tried to add soy sauce but it just was grossss! The pork fried rice is decent just have to add soy sauce. We love steamed dumplings but not from here .. the lo mein is decent .. soup is bland and taste old. The crab ragoons are possibly the only semi decent thing I’ve gotten here but they are cold each time. Bbq spare ribs are good basic but good. For the prices I wish it was better quality and better flavors also wish it were fresher. We want soooo badly to like it here but it’s been 3 times we have ordered from here and I’m still disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend. It’s fine for basic rice and egg roll but definitely not for actual meals. Waste of money...

Paid $37 for (1) poo poo platter, (1) order of steamed dumplings, and (1) pint of pork fried rice. The poo poo platter should be called a plate, because there's no way that amount of food is covering any platter. The dumplings were rubbery and the filling was gross to the point where I ate less than half of one dumpling and threw the rest out. The pork fried rice was the best thing in the bag, and that's probably because it tastes like white rice. Next time I get the itch for Chinese on a Monday, I'll just wait until Tuesday and go to Number 1...

It's always been hit or miss as to how good the food will be, but the last half dozen times it's gotten worse and worse even though I've been hoping it would turn around since it's convenient only being ten minutes away. Two days ago will be the last time I order from here - the second bite into my chicken and broccoli I bit into a 3 inch long strand from a steel scrubber that's used to clean pots and pans and cut my tongue.

Looks like it's back to driving a half an hour for good...
