JV BAGELS Shrub Oak — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

I used to love this location. Close to home, friendly, etc. unfortunately that’s no longer the case. Three weekends in a row, they answer the phone, give you zero greeting, and just place the phone on the counter. So you sit there and listen to others talking to each other, and taking orders for upwards of 5-10 minutes. I purposely waited to see just how long it would take for someone to acknowledge there’s someone waiting on the phone. The longest I waited was 9 minutes and 15 seconds. This happened 4 separate times. It’s worth the extra couple minutes to just drive down 6 and go to the JV location. Busy is one thing and I get it, but how does not one employee know to say “JV bagels, please hold.”...

I went in to get a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese the woman cut a Bagel put in the toaster and then started dealing with the register and filling it up with change so I had to wait 7 minutes to get my bagel with cream cheese and a bagel is only a dollar but then I was charged an extra 1.76 for the cream cheese so cost me $2.76 and I was supposed to get an everything bagel and after I left and got down the road I want to have a piece of bagel and it was sesame seed with a few poppy seeds on it and I do not like sesame seeds I can handle a couple but not a whole bagel covered in them so I wind up throwing my bagel away and...

Absolute garbage. A cheap run off of JV Hot Bagels by the mall... in Jefferson Valley. Always dirty, rude staff always look like they are inconvienenced by everything. Over priced for no reason and the sandwhich is usually cold by the time it gets to you and messy. The iced coffee is over priced. 5.50 for a “large” and a small. Where at the other place the largewould be a medium. The “extra large” is actually a regular large at the original. Don’t you dare ask for decaf either, that might be a hastle for them. Unless you like filth, rude staff and OVERPRICED ROOM TEMPERATURE GARBAGE, don’t go there. Today was my last time....
