Village Pizza 10588 — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

I was excited to see Village Pizza had opened when I was in Shrub Oak today. The pizza was amazing. I tried the regular as that is always a good litmus test for a pizza place. It was off the charts, thin crispy crust but not burnt at all, the sauce was super tasty and it had just the right amount of high quality mozzarella on it. I am also happy to report the pie had zero flop. I next tried a chicken alla vodka roll that was near perfection, so flavorful and the dough was as good as it gets. My son ordered a classic margarita slice that he said was one of the best he ever had and the garlic knots. I had a few of the garlic knots and oh man, they were incredible, once again you could see the quality ingredients shining through and the amount of fresh garlic and olive oil was a perfect ratio that had my taste buds singing. I really don't know if I will be able to eat garlic knots anywhere else after having these. Food is good, but today an incident happened where an employee kicked me out of the store for having a drink that I bough from acme. I don't know if the staff knows this but there are kids that vape and do worse things than bring in Pepsi's from acme. I. constant buyer of your food and give tips regularly. This is absolutely disgusting that this happened today. The employee had long dark brown hair and a slim build. I don't know who this person is but he has no right to kick me and my friends out from the store. He kept repeatedly saying disrespectful remarks and chose to make a scene in public after me and my friends walked out. This was not our fault at all and I believe that we are respectable kids. We just wanted to enjoy some pizza and drinks and have a fun time eating and your restaurant. Whoever this may be, they need their job revoked because this is unacceptable and will make customers like us not want to buy your food anymore. This place is outstanding. We are hooked on the personal pizzas lately. We like them because we can enjoy variety. Our goal is to try them all. Favorite is the chicken Scarp and the eggplant rollatini. Also the vodka chicken parm wedge is delish. Pick it up quickly or it will get slightly soggy but it is the “bomb”. Bottom line is we haven’t ordered anything from this place that my family has not absolutely devoured. My kids 5 and 6 are stuck on the spaghetti and meatballs. Most simple dish but as usual done right. And the salads here are so fresh. Farmers Market and the Mediterranean is all we tried so far. And again our goal is to try every salad.
