I went out for dinner here for the first time to celebrate an anniversary with my husband. The Christmas decor was lovely and the live music was great. I was impressed as I passed by a lovely plate of desserts too to entice people.
Our server was pleasant, and she said she would be right with us. She did come over and took our order right away. We ordered seltzer water and regular water with lemon. We were thrown off that the cups we got were plastic and red, which reminded me of the ones at Pizza Hut. When we looked around, everyone else had a glass cup. I think the plastic cup didn't match the atmosphere at all. Maybe they ran out of glass ones? Who knows. This wasn't a deal breaker, just odd and one small piece in the puzzle of an unsolved mysteries dinner.
We both had ordered salads hoping to eat something healthy and light. The salads came out in a timely fashion, but immediately, I noticed they made a mistake. My husband ordered extra chicken on a Cesar salad, and I had ordered grilled salmon on a garden salad. They accidentally put the extra chicken on the garden salad, and there was no salmon and a small amount of chicken on his Cesar. The woman who delivered the food wasn't our waitress and seemed put off about the ordeal. She seemed confused and rushed off to get the order right. Our waitress hadn't come to check in or say anything right away either. Mind you, it wasn't busy at all.
My husband was starting to eat, and he immediately looked disgusted. The chicken was room temperature and dry. We could tell it was cooked and reheated. The same woman came back, again not our waitress, and she handed me my salad without anything on it. She said she didn't want me to have nothing in front of me to eat. At that time, my husband asked if the chicken was fresh. She looked irritated but answered that it had been cooked that morning and reheated. He asked for fresh chicken. She said ok and off she went again. So, we both proceeded to just eat plain salad.
Halfway through our salads, our waitress did apologize about it and took off. We finally got the salmon and cooked chicken. I realized that they blackened the salmon instead of grilling it, but I was hungry and didn't care. Neither the chicken nor the salmon had any flavor. So we both reached for the salt grinder. We laughed because that type of salt stays crunchy on your food, so now it's flavorless and textorized. Unfortunately, my salmon was also raw in the middle as well. My husband finished his salad reluctantly, and I left what was left of the fish on the plate.
We had to ask another waitress to find ours so we could pay and leave. She did apologize and admitted that it was a bad dining experience and felt bad. She also took off the extra chicken since it never came out and the salmon.
Admittedly, I did scan the room, wondering if someone had it out for us.
The worst part about it all is that my husband's stomach has been killing him since. 😫 Thankfully, I haven't noticed anything from the fish as of yet. We definitely didn't think our anniversary dinner would end with a gastric intestinal celebration.

Let me start off by saying that my Cobb salad was great.
And our server was terrific.
That's as good as this review gets.
As for as the rest of what we ordered... Oh my.
Let's start where it started.
The "Margarita" :
This was hands down the worst drink my fiance and I have ever tasted. We both had to taste it to confirm our taste buds weren't temporarily existing in some alternate reality.
This drink tasted like a blend of kerosene and dishwater with a splash of lemon. I have no idea what was in this drink. But it was wrong in every every way. Completely undrinkable. We had to send it back.
When our very attentive server returned, she explained that she was told the line for the lemonade that they add to the drink was close empty and that this could have affected the taste.
I'll give this one the benefit of doubt... Perhaps that's the reason. But in my opinion, there was a whole lot more wrong with this drink than just the amount or quality of the lemonade in it.
The Beer:
Sam Adams Summer.
I ordered this myself. And my fiance also ordered it to after unsuccessfully trying to drink the margarita.
We both know what this beer is supposed to taste like. It was stale and tasted like they need to clean their lines on the tap.
The "chicken quesadillas".
This was perhaps the worst part of our dining experience. My fiance ordered this.
Imagine chicken reheated in a microwave five or six times, uncovered so that most of the moisture escapes. Then place the result in an oven at 400° for 60 minutes. You now have the meat in this quesadilla.
It could have possibly been the driest meat that I have ever put in my mouth. How could this be served to guests without someone on staff noticing before it ended up on the table?
I don't like writing these reviews. But dropping $50 on a truly disappointing culinary experience brought me to this.
I'm not sure what else to say. I want to say something else more positive. But those words are currently...

Saturday noon date day. We decided Bailey's as it is local and close to home. What an incredible experience. Sat at the bar. Not too loud, the perfect din. The Server 'Christine(a)' was very professional and made us feel welcome right away even while waiting on her customers. She took very little time to make sure we had menus, drinks and settled us right in. Very warm welcome. She new her bar, drinks and made a great recommendation for my IPA. Very fresh orange slices for that IPA! I ordered the Chicken Parm; few meatballs to go with. This was by far my fav Chicken Parm to date. ($3 per meatball was a bit high) but delicious and worth it. He had the Rueben and they made it the way he asked and the bread was fresh and withstood that sandwich. Plenty of meat! We got the cheeseburger nachos to start. I was iffy thinking pickles and nachos??? But YES!!!! Best Guacamole I have ever had. OH and that Chambord/Peach w/ Raspberry mix for desert! Yes Please ( my creation)...
And a special thanks to that nice guy Jeff who bought us all a holiday cocktail and said the kindest words to us. Thank you......happy...
