I placed an online order and drove out. At the window I gave my order code. I was given 2 drinks from my order and one was right and one was wrong. Since the wrong one was iced tea instead of 1/2 tea 1/2 Lemonade I let it go. Then I waited 1-2 minutes to have them tell me to pull into the drive through 1 spot. BTW, there is barely room for a vehicle since it is on a curve and other cars would like to get through. I then waited 17 minutes for my order to come out. It was 4 chicken sandwiches, 2 of which were large meals. There was one large fry in the bag. I informed the girl there should be 2, showed her the receipt and she asked if I wanted another large fry. I said yes, since I paid for it. While she went in, I grabbed one of the other fries out of the bag. They were barely warm. A young man then brought out a separate bag with the other order of fries. Given my experience so far, I should have checked if it was correct. When I got home, I discovered that it was a medium fry and was only slightly warmer than the original fry. Overall, if you leve me waiting for 15 minutes to get the chicken that I ordered online, and which takes less than 8 minutes to cook, you should be darn sure my order is right. While the employees were pleasant, they clearly couldn't read the receipt or prepare for the fact that someone was coming to pick up food. From now on I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to the next McDonald's to get my food. Mind you, I never once complained or was rude despite my annoyance. And when I did ask for a correction they still got it wrong. And no, there were no adjustments to the way the food was to be prepared (e.g. no mayo, no pickles, etc). I will say the chicken for the...
Read moreDid a mobile CURBSIDE PICKUP order because I have my 2 young kids (4&6) after open house for school .. so it was just a late night didn’t want to cook dinner super late…Before I even arrived I got notified my food was ready, so I was like sweet it should come out fairly quickly then. So I checked in on the app in one of the curbside pick up spots. We sat there for over 10 minutes for food (not too horrible) but I thought well maybe they are understaffed so let me go through the drive thru. As I pull up to the microphone I said politely “hi, I had a curbside pick up order, the number is __” and whatever employee responded back to me was completely rude for no reason. Literally replied with “curbside? Do you NOT know how curbside pick up works!?!!” So that’s when I start to get annoyed and was like “well we’ve been waiting for over 10 minutes so I figured I would just come through the drive thru!!” And again responded rudely “drive up to window number 2” and you hear him huffing and puffing!! I’m sorry but you work in customer service and you don’t speak to your customers that way. I would steer clear from this...
Read moreMy commute has taken me past this McDonalds for over 30 years. I've been a regular customer during all that time. The quality has been all over the map, but nothing great or bad to make it stand out from other locations, until the past year or so. I've tried to ignore issues here, but today was too much. Like most McDonalds, the drive through has two ordering kiosks after which you merge into a single line. Both last week for breakfast and this week for breakfast, the kiosk I was at was ignored until every single car in the other line, many of which arrived after me, were taken care of.
In 2019, I know the technology exists for fast food restaurant employees to service customers in the order that they arrive at their respective ordering kiosk. Every single other fast food restaurant I've been to, whether a McDonalds or a competitor, handles this just fine.
The franchisee at the Townsend McDonalds has lost me as a customer. Once I work out which other area locations are owned at managed by the same franchisee, I'll quit going to...
