Aldos Italian Ice And Gelato — Restaurant in Tracy

I love this place I work for an Amazon DSP and my route usually is around this area and this summer has been brutal well long story short I looked up where I could get a slushy or snowcone like ice cream and this place popped up thought it was going to be just another shop like cold stone or Baskin robbins except Italian ice and gelato and low and behold it's a family owned and fantastic little business all the employees are super nice and the owner is humorous and kind as well. They have a customer loyalty program as well! The flavor on the Italian ice blew my mind I didn't know flavored ice could have such mouth watering flavors I think we all have had flavored ice weather snowcone or otter pops and you know what I mean when I say you can tell all it is is water and syrup but this place it's not like that this Italian ice is so dense and flavorful and the scoops you get are some pretty generous scoops. I have yet to try the gelato but just off the Italian ice this place has left a remarkable impression on me. Will always come here when feeling like a summer sweet treat and telling all my family...

I had never been here and upon walking in I told the young lady this. Instead of explaining anything she just stood there. So I look at the board with all the prices and chose a flavor and size. She rings me up and says $9.56 I said excuse me? Out of all the prices the highest was 6 something so I said why? how? She then looks around and finally finds the hand written chalk board thing all the way on the back wall away from the pricing list and explains a buy one get one prepackaged deal. I told her that since I had never been there and that I had told her that when I came in that maybe she should have explained things to me. Not gonna pay ten dollars for a pint of anything. She then sends the other girl to cash me out while she fixed my order, handed it to me without saying a word. They both turned their backs to me and mumbled crap to each other as I left. First the Gelato was delicious. BUT, the customer service was ABSOLUTELY awful. The problem was the owner of the store. His disrespectful attitude toward my wife and I was not okay at all. He raised his voice saying “WAIT YOUR TURN!” When I politely asked for a sample when the store wasn’t busy. The second encounter I had with the owner was when my wife and I were sitting outside and he proceeded to go out his way to make us move because “You can’t sit there when it’s not a hot day outside.” It was 63* degrees outside and we just got done riding bikes. Then when I approached him with his attitude he had the nerve to say “I’m sorry, but I don’t know what else you want me to do about it” I don’t know maybe, apologies right and fix your snobby attitude.
