I'm all for supporting a black-owned, whole-in-the-wall. However, this was an unfortunate experience. Like the reviews read, the customer service experience is SUB-PAR. The mother behind the counter is warm, energetic and funny (and frankly the only reason to visit). However that DAUGHTER- Good Lawd she is mean and unapproachable!!! A simple "Welcome! How can I help?" might have made me over-look the bland and over-cooked noodles in my Mac & cheese. Less attitude would have convinced me to disregard the excessively breaded and flavorless shrimp. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. I wouldn't say that Popeye's is "BETTER", but at least you know what you're getting when you go to Popeye's 🤷🏾‍♀️

This is the most nastiest restaurant. Please check your food where ever you go before you leave. I have spent my money here for the last time. The obvious mold your selling to customers is wrong. And to be black owned????😏. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Don't buy. Don't waste your good money on people who don't primarily care about the food they make and sell. Make sure it's fresh vs getting a dollar. WHAT ARE YA'LL DOING????

I visited Seafood No.1 today around 3 ish. I ordered Catfish and fries. I rated the food good on google's scale, however the fish was salty as hell. I am on heart medicine and a low sodium diet, so saltiness is easy to pick up. Fries very soggy frommy 7-10 minute ride home. The place is very small but lively. Yet the employees are very friendly. You can call or order at location but it is TAKE OUT ONLY. I can cook extremely well so this food was not to my standard but It was tolerable. I think they would benefit to some type delivery service because they can make more money to serve more people. It was very clean. Only 4 average sized people can be in at the same time. Numerically I give them: 5 on food. 1 on decor because the only thing I seen was an Obama poster. 10 on service because the people are very friendly. Being that I am a cook, I noticed that they have a 4 bay deep fryer and can only make that many things.

Suggestion: Delivery service and buy the empty lot next door and expand. Bigger building means you can cook more. Cooking more=...

The paradox of this place lies in the fact that the food is surprisingly delicious, yet the customer service experience I encountered has deterred me from ever returning. When I attempted to place my order in advance for a seamless pickup, the lady handling the phone call was needlessly impolite. Initially, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, attributing it to a possible bad day or poor phone connection. However, upon my arrival, the service only worsened. While I genuinely enjoy supporting small and Black-owned businesses, regrettably, encounters like this are all too common.

If extending a basic courtesy to customers is deemed too challenging, perhaps she is in the wrong profession. One thing is certain—I will not be spending another cent at that...
