I waited an hour and a half just to be seated because everyone was busy except one and she was out “getting coffee”. I went there at 9am but didn’t leave until 7:30 - 8pm because I had 4 different people bouncing between me and other customers but still ended up sitting for 30 minutes at a time with nobody even looking my way. The braids were too tight and instead of telling me they were running out of my color of hair they just started adding more black and I didn’t notice until the next day when I was trying to style it so it hurt less and saw the difference in the starter braids vs the final braids.

I’m not gonna lie the braids came out really pretty and exactly what I wanted ( you really can’t mess up regular box braids ) but after everything that I mentioned there’s more…

the screaming kids

people (mainly men) constantly walking in and out just to say a few words to the braiders

someone coming just to sell stuff from a bag (socks and headphones and whatnot)

a small unclean bathroom

people staring at me as they waited to be seated

a women complaining about her hair being wrong and that she wasn’t paying

someone else who wanted someone to take her hair out but ended up sitting there for like an hour before having to make a fuss for someone to remember she existed

the braiders dropping hair and still using it even after it got stepped on

…and throughout all of that more people walked in and none of them were denied even though there clearly wasn’t any place for them to even sit let alone get their hair done anytime soon.

TLDR: Having been in that room for almost 12 hours with the most uncomfortable stuff happening and having braids too tight I don’t think I’ll be back over there for...

For starters I’m not going to lie everything was going good I was the first one in there and even though when I called I got a different price and length for when I walked in there but that’s a different story. Now some other girl come in and do my hair and the other two that was there was helping her braid the braids down. So I’m not sitting in the mirror and once I got a ft call I seen my hair and said wth cause the braids was a mess. Now Minju I been there since 10 this morning now once I started saying something about my hair they asking what’s wrong with it I’m explaining to them the hair is not full at all and she say oh I have to add the last four braids…… now I’m annoyed at this point cause I showed a picture of you couldn’t do it you could of said that right?RIGHT! But no they didn’t so now I get up look in the mirror my parts are big braids small knots big then the braid just looking a mess. Moral of the story I had them take the hair out cause if I’m paying my money and it’s not wat I asked for I don’t want it ok so now they taking the braids out one by one im trying to figure out why and why she say because they using the hair on somebody else cause I don’t want it like wat that is so nasty and that was my first and last time going there yall be safe cause you never know wat a person have in there scalp and the fact that your gonna use my hair that you took out my head with oil and stuff in it and put in somebody else head is mind...

I arrived at 8am to get my hair done, nobody was here just yet, np I called the number of the shop the owner said 5 mins. Np again. I showed the beautician who came into shop(unfortunately she's mute)a picture of what I wanted done to my hair. She pointed and made gestures like she knew what I wanted and understood me. It was 2 other ladies waiting too who also needed their hair done. They also showed their pictures, guess we thought the beautician was the Boss. Later on, the other beauticians that could speak also looked at the picture and communicated to the beautician that was mute about what I wanted. Even though I had my own Braiding Hair, I had to buy hair from them because the hair I had wasn't straightened out enough to be braided into my hair..🤦🏾‍♀️ So the beautician finally braided my back, it wasn't like the picture but it was ok. Then she finally finished the top and showed me the final product. I was disappointed but I didn't want to be rude to the beautician. I told her doesn't look nothing like the picture. I'm not going back because the price I paid, I could've got Box Braids. She did take her time but it only take no more than 1hr 1/2 to finish but I was there for 4! I should've paid more attention to the reviews because they don't really lie. I going on a trip and needed my hair done, if I wasn't in a hurry, I would've let someone else do it.
