Prestons — Restaurant in Troy

Whew, ok where do I start. Went to visit some family in Troy, and we decided to go out to eat. This is the place they took us. Before we got there, they were ranting and raving about how good the food is, how big the portions were, blah blah blah, lol. In my mind I was like ok sure, I live in Atlanta and eat out all the time at the best places so I’m sure I won’t be impressed by this place. Boy, was I wrong! The food here is extremely good. Started off with some corn fritters and Onion rings with pepper seasoning on them. Didn’t want to eat too much of that to make sure I had room for this large portion of steak my family had ranted about. Again, in my mind I was like yeah sure whatever. I ordered the ribeye and when it came, I was like wow, the steak was huge! I’ve had $75 dollar steaks in Atlanta that were no where near this big. And when I tell you juicy and flavorful. Seasoned just right. Didn’t need anything added to it. Needles to say three days after going to Preston’s I am still eating off my leftover steak. Oh, and the owner is amazing. I love Prestons and how they accommodate my food allergies but the service my family and I received from our waitresses last night (8/31/19) was unacceptable. When my family and I walked in we were half heartedly greeted by a waitress, who never gave us her name, who was more interested in the tv playing the troy game. She sat my family and I (4 people) at a table that was to small for our party size. Her eyes were glued to the tv as she rushed us through taking our order and once she sent our order through she came back through the front of house dinning room video chatting with someone and walking around the dinning room talking which was incredibly rude and disrespectful to patrons. Edit: I did not eat half the steak i took one bite and it was disgusting my husband took one bite and agreed it was not great other than that it was untouched. No need insinuating i am a liar. I also moved the fries to another plate but didnt eat them either. I did eat the wings because as I stated everything else was good. I did tell the server i didnt want anything else because I had already eaten the wings before she came back around to our table. As you can see in pic that is NOT a half eaten steak!!!
